This offseason saw significant roster changes for the Chicago Bears, including the departure of important veterans and the addition of a number of fresh faces who may only be there for a short while. There aren’t many roster locks at this time in the summer as the Bears get ready for training camp.
This means that during training camp and the preseason, there will be many roster fights to watch. This year will be fascinating because the Bears are a rebuilding squad. Some players who would seem to have a good chance of making the club may end up on the outside looking in because other teams cut players who general manager Ryan Poles and head coach Matt Eberflus would think would fit them better.

Even if there is still a whole training camp to go, those who just accompany the team may skip these pointless activities and begin the last cuts now, or at least most of them. Training camp will be fiercely tough, to put it mildly, as the remaining 52 players will be vying for one of 15 available slots.
