- MINInjured Cameron Dantzler Not Suiting Up Sunday
Minnesota Vikings cornerback Cameron Dantzler (ankle, personal) will be inactive for Sunday's playoff game against the New York Giants. The 24-year-old has played just two games since Week 9 and was absent from practice this past week due to a personal matter. Through 10 total contests, Dantzler logged 50 tackles, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. Chandon Sullivan and Kris Boyd should see more snaps in his absence.

Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith (knee) and running back/kick returner Kene Nwangwu (illness) are both active for Sunday's playoff game against the New York Giants. Smith, 33, played in 13 games this regular season, logging 84 tackles, one forced fumble, and five interceptions. Meanwhile, Nwangwu registered a league-leading 35 kick returns for 920 yards (and one touchdown). Both players will look to make an impact in this pivotal win-or-go-home game for Minnesota.

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins has been pulled from Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears. The Vikings have already clinched the NFC North title, and with a two-score lead over the Bears, Minnesota will play things safe by resting its starting quarterback. He finishes with 17 completions, 225 yards, and one touchdown in Week 18. With Cousins done for the day, Nick Mullens entered the game under center and should play the remainder of the contest.

Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith (knee) and pass rusher Za'Darius Smith (personal) are both inactive for Week 18 against the Chicago Bears. The former had been ruled out ahead of time while the latter was questionable. Harrison Smith finishes the regular season with 84 tackles, five interceptions, and one forced fumble through 14 games. Meanwhile, Za'Darius Smith registered 44 tackles, 10 sacks, and two forced fumbles over the course of 16 contests.

Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith (knee) has been ruled out for the Week 18 matchup against the Chicago Bears. The 33-year-old got in a full week of practice, but began feeling soreness in his knee on Friday. The organization is going to be cautious ahead of the postseason. The Bears aren't playing for anything, but the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. That being said, it sounds like a good idea for the Vikings to give Smith a day off and let him get 100 percent for the postseason.

Minnesota Vikings tight end Irv Smith Jr. (ankle) has been activated from injured reserve. Through seven games earlier this season, Smith caught 22 passes for 168 yards and two touchdowns. However, after Smith landed on IR, Minnesota went out and acquired T.J. Hockenson from the Lions. Thus, Smith will fill a depth role for the Vikings and is not on the fantasy radar in Week 18.

The Minnesota Vikings plan to activate tight end Irv Smith Jr. (ankle) from Injured Reserve, according to a source. Smith last played in Week 8 due to a high-ankle sprain, but he should be active for the Week 18 regular season finale against the Chicago Bears and will be a big boost for the offense as they head into the postseason. The 24-year-old caught 22 of his 33 targets for 168 yards and two touchdowns in seven games before getting injured. Since Smith's injury, Minnesota traded for T.J. Hockenson, and Hockenson should remain the unquestioned top pass-catching tight end for the Vikings heading into the playoffs. Smith should be avoided in DFS and season-long leagues this weekend and throughout the postseason, but he could be a sneaky red-zone weapon for quarterback Kirk Cousins.

Minnesota Vikings standout offensive tackle Brian O'Neill (Achilles) was placed on the Injured Reserve on Tuesday after suffering a partially torn Achilles last week, according to sources. He will miss the rest of the season, including playoffs, and is on the road to recovery. It's a big loss for the Vikings offensive line as they wrap up the regular season this weekend and get ready for the playoffs. As of right now, they are the No. 3 seed in the NFC. If they stay there, they'll be hosting the New York Giants in the first round of the postseason. With O'Neill out the rest of the way, the Vikings will be hoping that Oli Udoh can hold down the fort as the starting right tackle.

Green Bay Packers left tackle David Bakhtiari (appendix) doesn't carry an injury designation into the Week 17 game against the division-rival Minnesota Vikings and will play for the first time since having appendicitis. He hasn't played since Week 12. The 31-year-old's return couldn't come at a better time for the Packers in another must-win game against the current No. 2 seed in the NFL. The Vikings won't be resting anyone either, as they're still in play for the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye in the postseason. While Bakhtiari will be back this weekend, it remains to be seen if he'll be on the field for every offensive snap as quarterback Aaron Rodgers' blind-side protector.

Minnesota Vikings tight end Irv Smith Jr. (ankle) has been designated to return from injured reserve. The veteran tight end was placed on the injured reserve list after the Week 8 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals because of an ankle injury. Smith is averaging only 5.7 half-point PPR fantasy points per game, scoring 8.8 or fewer fantasy points in all but one contest this season. Meanwhile, the Vikings traded for T.J. Hockenson after Smith got hurt. Even if the former second-round pick is placed on the active roster this week, Smith has no fantasy value as long as Hockenson is healthy. Fantasy players can leave for the former Alabama tight end on the waiver wire in all redraft leagues.
