McCaffrey is an expensive but elite DFS option against the Seahawks defense that allowed the league's third most rushing yards (2,554) in 2022.

McCaffrey has been managing a knee issue in recent weeks, but he hasn't missed any time and is fully expected to be on the field to kick off the playoffs this Saturday in a wild-card matchup against the division-rival Seattle Seahawks. The 26-year-old is San Francisco's unquestioned lead back, and he should see plenty of work this weekend. In his lone meeting against the Seahawks in Week 15, CMC had a season-high 26 carries for 108 yards and a touchdown and also caught six of eight targets for 30 yards. He's probably the most expensive fantasy RB in DFS this week, but he might be totally worth it against a Seattle defense that allowed the fourth-most half-PPR points this year to opposing running backs.

Injured Elijah Mitchell Officially Activated Off Injured ReserveSan Francisco 49ers running back Elijah Mitchell (knee) has been officially activated off the injured reserve. This was expected as Mitchell should be back in action for the Week 18 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. However, it's unclear how big of a role Mitchell is going to have during his first game back. The 24-year-old hasn't played since Week 12, so the 49ers might ease him into action. The expectation is that Christian McCaffrey is going to be the lead back and get a bulk of the carries. Mitchell won't be a great option in fantasy formats going forward with McCaffrey healthy.

Injured Jimmy Garoppolo Could Still Return Late In PlayoffsSan Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that the plan remains for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) to be available late in the playoffs. Garoppolo is able to put some weight on his still-healing fractured left foot. A return to the NFC Championship game is the most realistic option for the Niners, assuming they are able to make it that deep into the postseason with rookie Brock Purdy under center. If Purdy is able to lead the 49ers to the NFC title game, there's still no guarantee that they'd choose Garoppolo over the rookie, especially since he hasn't played since Week 13. In 11 games (10 starts) before breaking his foot, Jimmy G had a 67.2% completion percentage, 2,437 yards, 16 touchdowns and four interceptions.

He'll continue to take a back seat to CMC heading into the postseason.
