- MINInjured Rudy Gobert Exits Win Over Cavs With Groin Soreness
Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert (groin) didn't return to Saturday's win over Cleveland because of right groin soreness. He finished the game with only six points, four rebounds, and one steal in 13 minutes of action. It's possible Gobert could miss time, beginning with Monday's matchup against his former team, the Utah Jazz. Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) remains out, so Naz Reid, who had 17 points and seven boards in this one, is the favorite to enter the starting lineup if Gobert can't suit up.

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards (hip) won't return to Wednesday's game against the Detroit Pistons. The young guard has been battling through left hip soreness the last few games. Clearly, it is still bothering him as it was forced him to miss the rest of this game. It's uncertain if this issue is going to force Edwards to miss more than just this contest. Jaylen Nowell started in the second half of Wednesday's contest. He'd get a boost in fantasy value if Edwards is forced to miss more time.

Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kyle Anderson (illness) has been ruled out Wednesday against the Detroit Pistons. Anderson is feeling under the weather and will not take the court against Detroit. Taurean Prince, Jaylen Nowell and Austin Rivers are all candidates to see higher minutes on Wednesday. Given how the Pistons played on Tuesday, they may see even more run if the starters get out to an early lead.

Minnesota Timberwolves guard/forward Anthony Edwards (hip) is good to go Wednesday against the Detroit Pistons. Edwards was questionable with hip soreness that has been bothering him over the past few days. Despite the injury, Edwards will continue to play through it and has yet to miss a game this season. Edwards will face a Pistons team who is in the second leg of a back-to-back set and just gave up 147 points to the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday.

Minnesota Timberwolves guard/forward Anthony Edwards (hip) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup versus Detroit. He hurt his hip last Friday against the Clippers and managed to play through the injury Sunday versus Houston, but could now be forced to take some time off. With that said, it's worth noting that Edwards was also questionable for Sunday's game and still ended up playing 37 minutes, so managers shouldn't be surprised to see the same happen on Wednesday. However, if Edwards can't go in the end, Jaylen Nowell and Austin Rivers should share most of the available minutes.

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards (hip) will play Sunday against the Houston Rockets. Initial reports had Edwards unlikely to play Sunday, but he will play through some hip soreness he's been dealing with. Edwards has yet to miss a game this season and should be in his normal role on Sunday. If Edwards were to miss any time with an injury, Taurean Prince and Jaylen Nowell would be next in line for minutes.

Minnesota Timberwolves center Naz Reid (back) is available to play Sunday against the Houston Rockets. Reid missed two games due to a back injury before returning Friday, but only logged nine minutes as his back flared up. Reid was questionable for Sunday but got the go ahead from the training staff to play. There is some reinjury risk for Reid given he left Friday's game early, but he should be fine for his normal amount of minutes.

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards (hip) is questionable for Sunday's game in Houston. He exited Friday's win over the Los Angeles Clippers because of a sore left hip, allowing Jaylen Nowell to finish with 14 points and six assists. If Edwards can't suit up, Nowell would be a favorite to enter starting lineup, ultimately giving him some upside for fantasy managers.

Minnesota Timberwolves guard/forward Anthony Edwards left Friday's contest against the Clippers with hip soreness and doesn't expect to play Sunday versus Houston. The injury limited him to only 23 minutes of action and a season-low five points. It also comes at a really bad time, as Edwards was enjoying a nice scoring spurt, averaging 30.3 points per game across the previous four contests. He is the Timberwolves' leading scorer with 23.7 points, and Edwards is also boasting career numbers with 6.2 rebounds and 4.4 assists. Austin Rivers and Jaylen Nowell should share Edwards' minutes whilst he's unavailable.

Minnesota Timberwolves guard D'Angelo Russell (illness) is back in the starting five for Wednesday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. The young guard sat out of their last game due to a non-COVID related illness. It appears Russell is feeling good enough to suit up for Wednesday's contest. He should resume his normal role, which means Jaylen Nowell will head to the bench. He won't have great streaming appeal off the bench, but could still be a deep league option.
