- ARIDeAndre Hopkins Likely To Be Traded This Offseason
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is expected to be traded this upcoming offseason. The organization appears ready to move on from the 30-year-old who has two years left on his current contract. The fact that Hopkins wants a new deal is possibly why the team wants to trade him this offseason. Regardless, the superstar wideout should be one of the best available receivers this offseason. He finished with 64 receptions, 717 yards, and three touchdowns through nine games this season. Those don't seem like great numbers, but Hopkins was suspended early in the season and dealt with a knee issue late in the year. He still should be able to produce above average numbers on whatever team he lands with next season.

The Arizona Cardinals fired head coach Kliff Kingsbury on Monday after the team went 4-13 this year, according to sources. Just 10 months ago, Kingsbury signed a contract extension that was scheduled to take him through the 2027 season. The Cardinals have never had a head coach that has lasted longer than six years while the team has existed for over 100 years. With Kingsbury now gone, defensive coordinator Vance Joseph appears to be the leading candidate to take over the job, although Arizona will surely bring in external candidates to interview for the position. Behind the scenes, owner Michael Bidwell and Kingsbury reportedly never had a very good relationship, and Kingsbury's relationship with quarterback Kyler Murray had also soured.

The Arizona Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill "has been gathering information on candidates and figuring out how he would run the process" if he were to shake up the coaching staff this offseason, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. While head coach Kliff Kingsbury has not been informed about any decision regarding his job status for 2023, Arizona is at least doing its due diligence as the season winds down. The Cardinals went 11-6 last season, prompting ownership to extend Kliff Kingsbury through 2027. However, one year later, the Cardinals are in the basement of the NFC West with a 4-12 record and could be looking to make sweeping changes, starting at head coach and general manager. If the Cardinals do move on from Kingsbury, Rapoport suggested former Saints head coach Sean Payton and current Cardinals defensive coordinator Vance Joseph could be candidates to take over. Presumably, Arizona would be one of the more attractive vacancies for prospective hires.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Robbie Anderson (back) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for the Week 18 regular season finale on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. With DeAndre Hopkins (knee) also ruled out for the second straight game, Marquise Brown, Greg Dortch and A.J. Green should operate as the primary pass-catchers for the Cardinals in a meaningless game for them with quarterback David Blough making his second straight start. Anderson will finish an extremely disappointing 2022 season in which he caught 20 passes on 44 targets for a career-low 282 yards and only one touchdown in 16 games for the Cardinals and Carolina Panthers. He caught just seven passes for 76 yards in 10 games with Arizona. The 29-year-old is heading into the final year of his deal, but there's a good chance he'll be cut this offseason.
Source : RotoBallerUpdated : Jan 7, 2023, 5:19:50 PM - ARIInjured James Conner Won't Play In Week 18
Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner (knee/shin) did not practice this week and has officially been ruled out for Week 18 against the San Francisco 49ers. Conner is a veteran back, so there's no real reason to put him out there in a meaningless game since the Cardinals have already been eliminated from playoff contention. That said, Keaontay Ingram will draw the start for Arizona. However, he has a low floor and low ceiling against one of the elite defenses in the NFL. The Niners have allowed the fewest fantasy points to running backs this season, and David Blough at quarterback doesn't set up well for Ingram's touchdown upside.

Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner (knee, shin) was present but didn't practice on Thursday. He was held out of Wednesday's practice and has now missed back-to-back sessions. The 27-year-old sustained a shin injury in the Week 17 loss to the Falcons. According to Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury, the shin issue was "nothing major." The veteran back will have one more chance to practice on Friday with an opportunity to suit up against the 49ers on Sunday. Keaontay Ingram and Corey Clement would see an uptick in touches if Conner is ruled out against San Francisco in Week 18.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Robbie Anderson (back) wasn't seen on the practice field on Thursday in the portion of practice open to the media. If Anderson doesn't practice on Thursday, it will be his second straight missed session of the week, leaving his status up in the air for Sunday's season finale against the San Francisco 49ers. DeAndre Hopkins has already been ruled out as well, so if Anderson isn't cleared, the Cardinals would be working with Marquise Brown, Greg Dortch and veteran A.J. Green as their top three receivers against a tough Niners defense. If Anderson ends up playing this weekend, he's an easy fade in DFS and season-long leagues with quarterback David Blough making his second straight start.
Source : RotoBallerUpdated : Jan 5, 2023, 7:04:21 PM - ARIInjured James Conner Back On The Practice Field
Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner (knee, shin) was on the field for the portion of practice open to the media on Thursday. Conner was held out of practice on Wednesday, but the fact that he's back out there means that he should be available to play in the Week 18 regular season finale against the San Francisco 49ers. He has been a strong RB2 for fantasy managers this year and should remain the team's unquestioned lead back this weekend if he's active. However, there's the caveat that he'll also be facing a 49ers defense that has allowed the fewest fantasy points to RBs per game (14.0) in half-point PPR scoring. Conner also has more downside with quarterback David Blough making another start under center to close out the year.
Source : RotoBallerUpdated : Jan 5, 2023, 7:00:35 PM - ARIInjured Kyler Murray Unlikely To Be Ready For 2023 Season
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (knee) had surgery to fix his torn right ACL on Tuesday, and on Wednesday head coach Kliff Kingsbury said that Murray "probably" won't be ready for the start of the 2023 season. In addition to the ACL repair, Murray needed a meniscus repair. After another disappointing season for the Cardinals in his fourth year in the NFL, the two-time Pro Bowler won't be afforded a normal offseason as he recovers from a major knee injury. Murray was missing top wideout DeAndre Hopkins for the first six games of the season and finished with a 66.4% completion percentage, a career-low 2,368 yards, 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions in 11 starts. He also had 67 carries for 418 yards and three scores on the ground. Given the fact that Murray may not be ready for the start of next season, his fantasy value will obviously take a pretty big hit.
Source : RotoBallerUpdated : Jan 5, 2023, 3:45:14 AM - ARIInjured James Conner, Robbie Anderson Miss Practice
Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner (knee, shin) and wide receiver Robbie Anderson (back) were both listed as DNPs on Wednesday's estimated practice report. Conner picked up a shin injury late in last week's game, putting his availability in question for the Week 18 season finale against a tough San Francisco 49ers defense. The 27-year-old is being called day-to-day for now, so as long as he returns to practice later this week, he should close out the year as the team's unquestioned lead back. In the first meeting with SF in Week 11, Conner had 14 carries for 42 yards and a rushing TD. DeAndre Hopkins (knee) has already been ruled out for this weekend, so Anderson could have a big role against San Fran on Sunday if he's able to play. However, with quarterback David Blough under center last week with Hopkins out, Anderson caught just one pass on one target for 13 yards.
