- NYGInjured Isaiah Hodgins Added To Injury Report
New York Giants wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins (ankle) was added to the team's injury report ahead of a Wild-Card playoff matchup with the Minnesota Vikings. Hodgins picked up an ankle injury but does not currently have a game status heading into Sunday and is expected to suit up. The 24-year-old has been very productive during his time in New York, tallying 33 receptions for 351 yards and four touchdowns in eight games with the Giants. He figures to play an important role in his postseason debut against a Vikings defense that surrendered the second-most passing yards in the league this season.

New York Giants offensive tackle Evan Neal (ankle) suffered what is considered to be a minor ankle injury in practice on Thursday, according to source. However, it should not affect his availability to play in the wild-card game on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. Neal was listed as limited in Thursday's session after getting hurt. It's good news for the Giants that the 22-year-old will be able to play because he has turned into a solid starting right tackle for them this season. Still, his ankle injury could affect him this weekend, so it will be something to watch on the right side of New York's offensive line.

The New York Giants signed former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver James Washington to their practice squad on Wednesday. Washington was expected to have a significant role in Dallas' passing game to begin the year, but he fractured his right foot in training camp and didn't make his season debut until Week 14 and ended up playing in two games for the Cowboys, finishing without a catch on one target. Dallas picked up veteran T.Y. Hilton late in the year and didn't really have a need for Washington at that point. New York's receiver depth is lacking, but even if the 26-year-old Washington is brought up to the active roster for the postseason, he's highly unlikely to see much action on the field.

New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley is a healthy scratch for Week 18 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Expect Matt Breida and Gary Brightwell to handle rushing duties on Sunday. The Giants have secured a playoff berth, so they'll rest several key starters this week. In addition to Barkley, New York made Andrew Thomas, Dexter Lawrence, Leonard Williams (neck), Julian Love, Azeez Ojulari (ankle), and Adoree' Jackson (knee) all inactive on Sunday. Meanwhile, quarterback Daniel Jones is active but not expected to play.

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is not expected to start against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon, according to Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post. With the NFC's No. 6 seed secured, New York plans to rest several starters, including Jones. Former third-round pick Davis Webb, who has never thrown a pass in the NFL, will draw the start against the 13-3 Eagles. With many starters expected to sit and an inexperienced quarterback under center, it's risky to trust any Giants players in fantasy football this week.

The New York Giants are reportedly interested in extending both quarterback Daniel Jones and running back Saquon Barkley this offseason. The team views these players as pieces to their long term future and are likely to offer them multi-year deals. Coming into the season, the Giants seemed uncertain about Jones, but he has proved himself on the field. The 25-year-old has been a major factor to the success of this offense. It's less shocking that the Giants want to bring back Barkley. The 25-year-old is usually a stud when healthy, but has battled through injuries throughout his career. There is certainly risk with signing him to a long-term deal. However, the Giants appear to have interest in bringing back both players in 2023.

The New York Giants designated safety Xavier McKinney (hand) to return from the Non-Football Injury list on Thursday. McKinney's 21-day practice window is now open, and he's back at practice on Thursday with a giant cast/splint on his injured left hand. The 23-year-old is not expected to make his return in Week 17 against the Indianapolis Colts this weekend, but he could be back in Week 18 or if the Giants make the playoffs. He hasn't played since Week 8, so the Giants will likely ease him back into the secondary when they feel that he's ready for game action. Before his injury, McKinney had 38 tackles (25 solo), one sack, four passes defensed and a forced fumble in eight starts.
Source : RotoBallerUpdated : Dec 29, 2022, 7:44:38 PM - NYGInjured Richie James Will Play In Week 15
New York Giants wide receiver Richie James (head) was removed from the injury report. The wideout was in concussion protocol and riding a questionable tag heading into Sunday's game in Washington. However, he practiced in full on Friday and now has the green light to suit up for the NFC East meeting. James has been on a roll, catching a touchdown in three of his last four games, so he deserves flex consideration against a challenging Commanders defense in Week 15.

New York Giants wide receiver Richie James (concussion protocol) and tight end Daniel Bellinger (ribs) are officially questionable to face the Washington Commanders in Week 15. Players have often missed at least one week after entering the concussion protocol, but head injuries are always tough to speculate on. That said, the game is on Sunday Night Football, so fantasy managers will have to decide whether or not James is worth the risk of missing out on streamers who play in the early or afternoon window. Bellinger remains off the fantasy radar, but his absence could set up more targets for Darius Slayton, Isaiah Hodgins, and James (if active).
Source : RotoBallerUpdated : Dec 16, 2022, 7:30:05 PM - NYGInjured Daniel Bellinger Remains Limited Thursday
New York Giants tight end Daniel Bellinger (ribs) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice. He has now logged back-to-back limited sessions. According to Giants head coach Brian Daboll, Bellinger was "pretty sore" on Monday after getting injured in the Week 14 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The 22-year-old will have one more chance to log a full practice to increase his chances of suiting up against the Commanders. Bellinger caught three passes for 19 yards before exiting last Sunday's loss against the Eagles. If active, Bellinger is a borderline TE2 against in a tough matchup versus Washington's defense that ranks third in DVOA against opposing tight ends.
