Injured Derrick White Avoids Major Injury, Listed As Probable MondayBoston Celtics guard Derrick White (neck) is listed as probable to play Monday against the Charlotte Hornets. White left their previous game with a neck strain after only playing four minutes. The injury, however, appears to not be serious as White will likely not miss any additional game time. If White suffers any setbacks, look for Malcolm Brogdon to pick up the slack. Brogdon scored 30 points when White was forced out of their last game.

Brown continues to deal with some lingering soreness and will miss his third straight game. With Brown out, the rest of the starters will likely see the biggest impact with Jayson Tatum leading the way on offense. Malcolm Brogdon may see a few more opportunities as the first man off the bench.

Boston Celtics guard Derrick White (neck) was injured during the win over the Charlotte Hornets. The former Spur logged only four minutes before suffering a neck strain resulting from a collision with Marcus Smart. It's certainly possible White may miss some games because of the ailment, which wouldn't be ideal considering the C's have also been without Jaylen Brown (adductor). As a result, Malcolm Brogdon, who had 30 points and shot 11-for-17 from the field (4-for-6 from deep) on Saturday, may enter the starting lineup if White can't suit up for Monday's rematch and beyond.

Boston Celtics guard Derrick White (neck) was forced to exit early during Saturday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. The young guard suffered a strained neck when he collided with fellow teammate Marcus Smart. He was on the ground for a few minutes, but eventually headed to the locker room. Malcolm Brogdon and Payton Pritchard would be asked to help fill the void, assuming White is forced to miss time from this injury. Brogdon should already be rostered in most fantasy formats with Jaylen Brown (groin) sidelined. Although, Pritchard could have value as well, but is more of a deep league option.

Injured Malcolm Brogdon May Not Play Against CharlotteBoston Celtics guard Malcolm Brogdon (personal) is questionable for Saturday's meeting with Charlotte. The 30-year-old has averaged 13.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists while shooting a career-high 44.3% from deep this season. However, with Jaylen Brown (adductor) out for this one, Brogdon could easily see an uptick in production if he plays. But if he's unavailable, Sam Hauser and Payton Pritchard could receive more work, although likely not enough to make a dent on the fantasy end.

Boston Celtic guard Jaylen Brown (groin) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. The star guard will sit this game out after dropping 41 points on Wednesday. Head coach Joe Mazzulla mentioned that Brown could be sidelined for a week or two. That is not good news for the Celtics, but it's possible he doesn't miss that much time. The Celtics will start Marcus Smart in Brown's spot during Thursday's game. He'll get a significant boost in fantasy value while Brown is out.

Boston Celtics guard/forward Jaylen Brown (groin) is questionable for Thursday's matchup against the Nets. Brown had a superb night Wednesday against New Orleans with a season-high 41 points and 12 rebounds, but he revealed after the game that he also tweaked his groin in the contest. Jayson Tatum would be a usage monster with Brown out of the lineup Thursday, with Malcolm Brogdon and Sam Hauser having an opportunity to pick up extra minutes. Tatum has played just twice without Brown this season, which is a very small sample size, but he totaled 78 points across the games and would clearly be the main man again.

Injured Robert Williams III Ruled Out For Injury Management WednesdayBoston Celtics center Robert Williams III (knee injury management) will not play Wednesday against the New Orleans Pelicans. With the Celtics heading into a back-to-back set, Boston will choose to sit Williams on Wednesday while he continues to work his way back to game shape. With Williams out, Al Horford should see most of the center minutes with Grant Williams picking up some extra minutes.

This doesn't come as a surprise considering Smart was listed as doubtful heading into this game. He was forced to exit early during Saturday's game and it appears he's not ready to play yet. Malcolm Brogdon could move into the starting five for Monday's game. He'll see increased playing time and is worth a look as a streaming option while Smart is sidelined.

Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart (knee) suffered a knee contusion during the team's game on Saturday night and was forced to leave. He officially received the doubtful tag a day before tipoff as it seems the knee pain may need one more game to subside before he returns. While he's out, Derrick White and Malcolm Brogdon will likely handle most of the minutes at point guard and either one of them would serve as a good streaming option for as long Smart is out.
