- BUFInjured Isaiah McKenzie Ruled Out For Wild-Card Game
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie (hamstring), who was listed as questionable for Sunday's game, is officially inactive for the wild-card contest against the Miami Dolphins after he missed practice on Thursday and Friday. Fantasy managers need to make sure to remove the 27-year-old from any DFS playoff lineups before the early game kicks off. With McKenzie sidelined, it will open up more playing time for rookie Khalil Shakir and veteran Cole Beasley out of the slot in a plus matchup against a Miami secondary that quarterback Josh Allen has already torched twice this year. However, Shakir and Beasley should still be considered low-cost DFS sleepers with limited upside behind pass-catchers Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis in a game where the Bills aren't expected to need to throw the ball all day to pull out a win.

Buffalo Bills wide receiver John Brown has been elevated from the practice squad ahead of Sunday's Wild-Card matchup against the Miami Dolphins. The veteran wideout has played in three games this season, but hasn't done much damage. He hauled in a 42-yard touchdown in Week 18, but has been quiet outside of that. This move is basically to add more depth at wide receiver, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect much from Brown. He can be avoided in DFS contests for Wild-Card weekend.

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie (hamstring) missed practice on Thursday and Friday and is listed as questionable to play in the wild-card game on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. It's not a good sign that the 27-year-old missed the last two practices of the week after being limited on Wednesday, so he could be a game-time decision for the first of three playoff games on Sunday. McKenzie didn't do as much as some fantasy managers were projecting during training camp, as he finished the regular season with 42 catches (65 targets) for 423 yards and four touchdowns in 15 games. If he does suit up, he'll be a low-ceiling, touchdown-dependent DFS play. Rookie Khalil Shakir and veteran Cole Beasley figure to share slot duties if McKenzie is ruled out.

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie (hamstring) was not seen on the practice field on Thursday after he was limited in Wednesday's session. With McKenzie's status up in the air for Sunday's wild-card game against the Miami Dolphins, the Bills signed veteran Cole Beasley to the active roster from the practice squad. If needed, Buffalo can also call up veteran John Brown for Sunday's game to give them more depth at the position if McKenzie is ruled out. Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis will be the team's top two receivers regardless of whether McKenzie plays this weekend, but if he's unable to suit up, it would open up more snaps out of the slot for rookie Khalil Shakir and Beasley.

The Buffalo Bills signed wide receiver Cole Beasley from the practice squad to the active 53-man roster on Thursday. In a corresponding move, the team released offensive lineman Justin Murray. The 33-year-old veteran slot man was brought in late this year for receiver depth and saw action in Weeks 15 and 16, catching both of his targets for 18 yards on a grand total of 17 offensive snaps. Beasley has plenty of chemistry with quarterback Josh Allen, but he's unlikely to see much time on the field in the wild-card game this Sunday against the Miami Dolphins behind the likes of Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, Isaiah McKenzie and rookie Khalil Shakir.
Source : RotoBallerUpdated : Jan 12, 2023, 5:17:57 PM - BUFInjured Isaiah McKenzie Limited Wednesday
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie (hamstring) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. It's unclear when McKenzie picked up the hamstring injury, but his situation is worth monitoring heading into Sunday's wild-card matchup against the Dolphins. The 27-year-old has been quiet recently and hasn't eclipsed 50 receiving yards since Week 12. He finished the 2022 season with 42 catches for 423 yards and four touchdowns over 15 games in 2022. If active, McKenzie would be a DFS punt in GPPs, with Buffalo's offense having an implied total of 28.25 points for Sunday's wild-card game versus Miami.

Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin has been discharged from Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute in Buffalo, NY, after being admitted on Monday. He went through a comprehensive medical evaluation and a series of cardiac, neurological and vascular testing on Tuesday. "We have completed a series of tests and evaluations, and in consultation with the team physicians, we are confident that Damar can be safely discharged to continue his rehabilitation at home and with the Bills," physician Jamie Nadler said. It's more excellent news for Hamlin after he had a cardiac arrest on the field in Week 17 against the Cincinnati Bengals. The 24-year-old is on his way to recovery, but it remains to be seen if he'll be able to continue his playing career.

The Buffalo Bills designated wide receiver Jamison Crowder (ankle) and safety Micah Hyde (neck) to return from Injured Reserve on Wednesday, but neither player is expected to suit up for the wild-card playoff matchup on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. Crowder last played in Week 4. The 29-year-old slot man could become an option for the Bills if they make a deep run in the postseason, which is very possible, but even then, Crowder will probably be a long shot for any fantasy production behind receivers Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis, Isaiah McKenzie and rookie Khalil Shakir. Hyde underwent neck surgery in mid-October and only played in two games in 2022. It remains to be seen if he'll eventually be able to return for Buffalo's secondary if they advance past this weekend.

Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin was released from the hospital in Cincinnati on Monday and is returning to Buffalo. Hamlin has been released from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center just a week after suffering a cardiac arrest on the field in the Week 17 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The 24-year-old was intubated and in critical condition for several days, but he eventually woke up and his neurological functions were intact. Hamlin has made incredible progress after a very scary situation on the field a week ago. He will continue his recovery at home after being placed on Injured Reserve by Buffalo last week. Hamlin is ahead of schedule in his recovery and is already walking, but it remains to be seen if he'll ever play football again.

Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin remains in critical condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center but has continued to breathe on his own. Hamlin was able to speak to his teammates on Friday morning after his breathing tube was removed and is making great progress in his recovery from cardiac arrest. In their most recent statement, the Bills described Hamlin's neurological function as "excellent". Encouraging updates have persisted over the past few days following the frightening incident that occurred during Monday night's contest against the Cincinnati Bengals. Buffalo placed the 24-year-old on Injured Reserve on Friday, officially ending his season, but his health and well-being remain the top priority right now. His teammates will be looking to close out their regular season with a victory in a divisional matchup with the New England Patriots on Sunday.
