- SAInjured Doug McDermott Will Not Play Against Kings
San Antonio Spurs forward Doug McDermott (back) will sit Sunday's game against the Sacramento Kings. McDermott was questionable with a back injury, but was downgraded to out before tip-off. Malaki Branham, Josh Richardson and Stanley Johnson should all see increased minutes off the bench. Starters Keldon Johnson and Jeremy Sochan should also see a small bump in their respective roles.

San Antonio Spurs guard Josh Richardson (personal) is available for Monday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. The veteran guard was considered questionable earlier in the day due to an undisclosed reason. He should play a significant role in the rotation with Devin Vassell (knee) and Keldon Johnson (hamstring) ruled out for this game. Richardson has been playing well lately with the Spurs being shorthanded. He should be a strong streaming option for Monday's slate. The 29-year-old should be able to hold decent value until Vassell is able to get back on the court.

San Antonio Spurs center Jakob Poeltl (Achilles) is available for Monday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. The big man returns after his one-game absence due to an Achilles issue. His return means Zach Collins heads to the bench, so he won't have much streaming appeal with the second unit. It doesn't sound like the team plans to limit Poeltl despite him dealing with an Achilles injury. He could see increased usage with Keldon Johnson (hamstring) sidelined on Monday.

San Antonio Spurs guard Keldon Johnson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. He sat out Saturday's contest and it appears he's still not ready to play due to left hamstring tightness. The Spurs could be very shorthanded with Devin Vassell (hamstring) out and Josh Richardson listed as questionable. Malaki Branham, Romeo Langford and Keita Bates-Diop could all be asked to play significant roles on Monday. Langford has been starting lately, but Branham might have the highest ceiling between the three of them. Fantasy managers should check back to see which of them slides into the starting five on Monday.
Source : RotoBallerUpdated : Jan 9, 2023, 11:03:56 PM - SAInjured Keldon Johnson Listed As Questionable For Monday Against Memphis
San Antonio Spurs forward Keldon Johnson (hamstring) was forced to miss Saturday's game against the Boston Celtics and now he's listed as questionable for their next contest on Monday against the Memphis Grizzlies. With Jakob Poeltl (achilles) probable to return and Devin Vassell on the sidelines, Keita Bates-Diop would most likely get the start again if Johnson can't suit up. Josh Richardson could also be a streaming option but would be a little riskier than Bates-Diop.

San Antonio Spurs forward Keldon Johnson (hamstring) won't play against the Celtics. He's battling hamstring tightness, so he'll join Jakob Poeltl (Achilles) and Devin Vassell (knee) on the shelf. As a result, Keita Bates-Diop, who's averaged 12.7 points and 4.8 rebounds in 10 starts this season, should see an uptick in fantasy production. Josh Richardson could also serve as a risky flex play for those in deep fantasy setups.

San Antonio Spurs center Jakob Poeltl (Achilles) won't play on Saturday night against the Celtics. The 27-year-old is battling left Achilles bursitis, so Zach Collins will replace him in the starting lineup. Collins has averaged 9.2 points and 6.8 rebounds in six appearances with the first five this season, so he'll draw some interest in deep fantasy setups and DFS contests. However, with Al Horford and Robert Williams III hanging underneath the basket, it may be tough for Collins to get anything going.

San Antonio Spurs forward Keldon Johnson sustained a left hamstring injury in Friday's win over Detroit, coming out after playing only 13 minutes in the first half. He finished with eight points. The Spurs are already without Devin Vassell (knee), so things could get rather interesting on the team, with two of its top scorers missing. Tre Jones had a great game Friday with 25 points and should get more scoring opportunities now, while Josh Richardson, Romeo Langford and Malaki Branham will have a chance to pick up a lot more minutes. Isaiah Roby replaced Johnson in the starting unit for the second half on Friday, but he logged just seven minutes in the game and it doesn't look like the injury will affect his situation on the team.
Source : RotoBallerUpdated : Jan 7, 2023, 12:46:45 PM - SAInjured Josh Richardson Available On Friday
San Antonio Spurs forward Josh Richardson (quad) is available for Friday's game against the Detroit Pistons. He was listed as questionable coming into this game due to a quad contusion. It sounds like Richardson is good to go and should see an increased role going forward with Devin Vassell (knee) out indefinitely. Both Richardson and Keita Bates-Diop (illness) are worth streaming in deep leagues for Friday. The Spurs are starting Romeo Langford in the place of Vassell. He'll probably play close to 30 minutes, so he could be a viable streaming option.
Source : RotoBallerUpdated : Jan 7, 2023, 12:08:00 AM - SAInjured Josh Richardson Questionable For Friday
San Antonio Spurs forward Josh Richardson (quad) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Detroit Pistons. Normally, Richardson's status doesn't have a huge impact on the rotation. However, Devin Vassell (knee) is set to undergo surgery and is likely to miss significant time. Richardson has been playing more minutes lately and should have a consistent role going forward. That being said, Richardson should be rostered in most fantasy formats right now. His absence would mean more minutes for Malaki Branham and Romeo Langford. Between the two, Langford is the better streaming choice, but he'd only be worth looking at if Richardson is out.
