Eddie Jackson Out Indefinitely With Lisfranc Injury
Chicago Bears standout safety Eddie Jackson (foot) suffered what appears to be a serious Lisfranc injury in the Week 12 loss to the New York Jets on Sunday, according to sources. Jackson is still receiving opinions on his foot, but he's considered out indefinitely and will be out in Week 13 against the Green Bay Packers. It's a tough loss for the Bears defense, as Jackson is one of the better safeties in the league. The 28-year-old two-time Pro Bowler has 80 tackles (59 solo), four interceptions, six passes defensed and two forced fumbles in 12 starts for Chicago this year. With his timetable unknown, he's a candidate to go on Injured Reserve, which would require him to miss at least four games. There's a good chance we won't see Jackson again this season. Elijah Hicks will see more playing time in the Bears secondary with Jackson sidelined.
