- GBPackers Expect Aaron Jones Back In 2023
Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said that he expects running back Aaron Jones to return in 2023, but he didn't rule out restructuring Jones' contract like they've done with a lot of players to reduce his salary cap hit. The Packers have the option of opting out of the 28-year-old's deal for next season, but it appears they want him back if they can agree to restructure. In his sixth year with the team, Jones carried the ball 213 times for 1,121 yards and a career-low two touchdowns, but he also added a career-high 59 catches (72 targets) for 395 yards and five more TDs in 17 games. It was his third 1,000-yard season, and he finished as the RB10 in half-point PPR scoring. As long as quarterback Aaron Rodgers returns in 2023 as well, Jones should be treated as a solid low-end RB1/high-end RB2.

Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said that he had "really good conversations" with quarterback Aaron Rodgers this week on his way into the offseason. Gutekunst also said Rodgers is "going to take some time" and "I really respect the process he goes through after the season." The 39-year-old future Hall of Fame QB failed to make the postseason this year in his first year without All-Pro wideout Davante Adams. He completed 64.6% of his 542 pass attempts for 3,695 yards, 26 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 17 games. Rodgers was working with a largely unproven group of receivers and had under 4,000 passing yards for the first time in a full season since 2015. His 12 interceptions were the second-most of his career.

Green Bay Packers rookie wide receiver Christian Watson (hip) was limited in practice all week but has been removed from Friday's final injury report for Week 18 and will play on Sunday night in the regular season finale against the Detroit Lions. The Packers will earn the NFC's final playoff spot with a win over Detroit this weekend, so they will absolutely be playing all of their starters all game long. Watson is limping to the finish line of his first NFL season, but he will play on Sunday after catching just one pass for 11 yards while playing 60 percent of the offensive snaps in Week 17. In what should be a much closer game this weekend, the young wideout will have a great chance to bounce back against Detroit's generous secondary.

Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones (knee/ankle) was limited again on Thursday and is officially listed as questionable for Week 18. He was dealing with the same injuries last week until his designation was removed altogether on Friday before their Week 17 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings. Jones was able to gather 111 yards on 14 carries and catch two passes for two yards in that game. Since this is similar to his trend last week, it seems like he'll most likely play and carry an RB2 status against the Detroit Lions.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (knee, thumb) returned to practice on Thursday after getting a regular maintenance day off on Wednesday. Rodgers has been dealing with a minor knee issue in recent weeks, but he will absolutely be on the field this Sunday night in a divisional showdown against the Detroit Lions to close out the regular season. With a win, the Packers will earn the final spot in the NFC playoffs. The 39-year-old Rodgers hasn't had high-end QB1 upside for fantasy managers this year and hasn't thrown multiple touchdown passes since Week 12, but he'll have an opportunity to produce some nice numbers against a shaky Lions defense this weekend. In Week 9 against Detroit, Rodgers went 23-for-43 for 291 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in a loss.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (hip) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. The 23-year-old initially injured his hip in Week 16 against the Dolphins. The Packers' rookie wideout did suit up against the Vikings last Sunday despite logging one limited practice session. He caught one of five targets for 11 yards in the Week 17 win over the Vikings. Watson will look to log a full practice ahead of Sunday Night Football versus the Lions. He has caught 36 passes for 507 yards and seven touchdowns over 13 games in 2022. Watson is borderline WR2 against a Lions defense that ranks 22nd in DVOA versus opposing WR2s.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (hip) is active for Week 17 against the Minnesota Vikings. He was listed as questionable after logging a limited practice on Friday. Watson entered Sunday as a true game-time decision, and evidently, the Packers believe that he is healthy enough to play. The rookie ranks as a WR3 in fantasy football this week.
Source : RotoBallerUpdated : Jan 1, 2023, 7:54:58 PM - GBInjured Christian Watson To Test Injury Pre-Game
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (hip) remains questionable ahead of Sunday's NFC North meeting with the Vikings. However, he will test things out pre-game before a decision is made concerning his availability. The rookie has emerged as one of Aaron Rodgers' favorite targets, accumulating seven touchdowns in the last six games. With the Packers in desperate need of a win, Watson will do all he can to be out there. But if he can't suit up, Allen Lazard and Romeo Doubs should receive most of Rodgers' attention versus a Vikings defense that has struggled against opposing wideouts all year.

Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones (ankle, knee) was removed from Friday's final Week 17 injury report and will play on Sunday against the division-rival Minnesota Vikings. Jones rolled his ankle in the Week 16 win over the Miami Dolphins, but it's obviously not a major issue and he will be active this weekend. The Vikings defense is vulnerable everywhere and allows an average of 21.3 fantasy points in half-PPR leagues to opposing RBs, so both Jones and AJ Dillon could thrive on Sunday. The problem for Jones has been Dillon's increasing involvement with Jones battling nagging lower-body injuries in the second half. Jones should be treated as a midrange RB2 in fantasy with boom/bust potential in a very nice matchup.
Source : RotoBallerUpdated : Dec 30, 2022, 11:40:01 PM - GBInjured Christian Watson Questionable For Week 17
Green Bay Packers rookie wide receiver Christian Watson (hip) has been listed as questionable to play on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17. After not practicing Wednesday or Thursday, Watson returned to the field as a limited participant, giving him a shot to suit up in another must-win game. The 23-year-old second-rounder saw eight targets in the first half of last Sunday's win over the Miami Dolphins, showing just how big of a role Watson has been playing for Green Bay in the second half of the season. If Watson is able to suit up, he'll have plenty of fantasy upside against a Vikings defense that has allowed 33.5 fantasy points per game to WRs, the most in the NFL. If he's inactive, Allen Lazard and rookie Romeo Doubs will work on the outside, with veteran Randall Cobb in the slot.
