“You Just Got to Keep Playing”- Aaron Donald Shares His Thoughts on the Los Angeles Rams Downfall This Season

There have been many teams that have been disappointing so far this season, defending Super Bowl champions, the Los Angeles Rams are chief among them. After a stellar season in 2021 which saw them finish the regular season with a record of 12-5, the Rams went on to claim their first Super Bowl win since 1999 under the able guidance Sean McVay led by Matthew Stafford.

Unfortunately, as far as this season is concerned, there will be no such fairy tales for the Los Angeles Rams. Nine games into the season and the defending champions 3-6. While injuries to key players have played a part, ultimately, the Rams have just not been as good as they were last year.

While speaking to the media, defensive tackle Aaron Donald shared his thoughts on what has gone wrong this season and how things can be changed.

He said, “You just got to keep playing. Just keep playing and trying to find a way to win. That’s it. Just play. You just got to play. There’s obviously a lot of things that aren’t going our way. Nobody wants to be in this position, but we’re here now. All we can do is keep playing”

Donald continued, “I don’t think anybody [envisioned it],” Donald said. “Nobody expected to be in a position where you’re 3-6 after coming off the season we had. But we’re here now, there’s nothing you could do but just continue to play and can try to control what you can control. . . [W]e’re in the moment, we’re here now, so just got to try to find a way to dig ourselves out of a hole.”

Can the Los Angeles Rams turn it around?

Last week, the Los Angeles Rams received a major blow after Cooper Kupp was ruled out for 4-5 weeks. This will be a huge blow to their passing game with no clear substitute for him. Therefore, it is difficult to envisage them turning the situation around.

However, the Los Angeles Rams have some of the best players in the league on the Roster and they can surely get a few wins here and there.
