He was chosen to play in his first NBA All-Star game and was named to the All-NBA First Team during his sophomore campaign. He has the most triple-doubles in Mavericks history. Doncic, a Slovenian international, earned his senior debut for his country in 2016 at just 17. He would later be nominated to the All-Tournament Team and assist his nation in winning its first EuroBasket championship in 2017.
