“We’re Not Going to Let This End Us and Tear Us”- Josh Allen Sheds Light on a Crucial Fourth Quarter Fumble Against the Vikings

The Buffalo Bills have been one of the standout teams of the 2022 NFL season so far. Not only do they have a good record nine games into the season, the Bills led by Josh Allen are one of the most if not the most exciting team to watch. Nine games into the season, the Bills have a record of 6-3. In their most recent outing, the Buffalo Bills succumbed to a 33-30 loss against the Vikings.

In one of the crucial moments that defined the outcome of the game, Josh Allen fumbled the ball on the one yard line while trying to rush into the end zone through the scrimmage. This overturned the possession and allowed the Vikings to take control of the game.

Josh Allen breaks down his costly fumble in the fourth quarter

In a recent interview, Allen shared his thoughts on the fumble and how it will only serve as a learning experience for him and his team. He said, “Again, we were running kind of ‘push dog’ is what we call it like a push quarterback sneak. And the ball kinda just slipped away from me. Unfortunately, when I am getting pushed I am trying to go back and get the ball, and Gabe does not know that I dropped the ball so he is not looking for it. I am trying to get it and it just bounced their way. Again, it is on the one yard line, So you’ve got to do it, you have to do quarterback sneak.”

Josh Allen continued, “I was proud of how our team responded to that… we went out and we had a really good two-minute drive to end the game there and give us a shot in the overtime. So, again, a lot of different experiences we’re learning and situations that maybe I haven’t been in my entire career, so it is all learning moments. Again, big picture, we’re 6-3. We’re not going to let this end us and tear us apart in the locker room.”

Next up for Josh Allen and his men are the  Cleveland Browns this Sunday as they aim to move towards a 7-3 record and aim for the top spot in the AFC East.
