“I’ve Got to Find Ways to Make Some More Plays for Us”- Russell Wilson Takes Onus After Yet Another Loss for the Denver Broncos This Season

The Denver Broncos and Russell Wilson have been one of the biggest upsets so far this year. Going into the 2022 season, both fans, as well as pundits, expected good things from the Broncos, given that they had made some significant changes in the off season. Unfortunately, for all parties involved, the changes have not had the desired outcome. Russell Wilson is currently having the worst season of his NFL career thus far and is leading an offense that just can not find a way to score.

The Denver Broncos game week ten match against the Titans was another example of the same. The game ended 17-10 in favor of the Titans, this was the third time this season that the Broncos have scored just 10 points or fewer in a game. Overall, their scoring record has not been great, the Broncos have scored at least 20 points just twice this season. Their season high is 23, and that came in the Week Four loss to the Raiders.

Russell Wilson gets brutally honest about the Denver Broncos and his own performance

After yet another loss, quarterback Russell Wilson shared his thoughts on what went wrong. He said, “First of all, I have to play better. I’ve got to find ways to make some more plays for us, more touchdowns. And it’s something that you continue to work for every day.”

Russell Wilson continued, “You focus on the little things, the fundamentals, the little things of the game. I’ve been down before. It doesn’t mean that we can’t come out on the other end of it all. We’ve got to play at the highest level and we’ve got to play at the highest level each day in practice,” Wilson said.”

The Broncos simply haven’t been doing that. Wilson took a season-high six sacks in last week’s loss, completing 21-of-42 passes for 286 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He also fumbled three times, though the Broncos didn’t lose any of them.

While things do not seem to be getting better for the Broncos, their game next week is against the Raiders who themselves have struggled, which can potentially be their best shot at getting back into the win column.
