Jeanie Buss With a Chaotic Message Ahead of Kyrie Irving Arrival at Lakers
Even on a federal holiday, there is still a lot of interest in Kyrie Irving joining the Lakers. When he stated on Saturday that the Lakers and Nets are “actively involved” in trade discussions involving Kyrie Irving and Russell Westbrook, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports greased the shifter up to another gear. Brooklyn’s interest in Russell Westbrook appears to be a modest gain for Lakers supporters.
Following trade rumors involving Kyrie Irving, the Los Angeles Lakers have attracted a lot of media interest. The discussions appear to be poised to become more heated. Last night, Jeanie Buss raved adoringly about Kobe Bryant on Twitter. She referred to him as “the greatest Laker ever.”

We have no idea if she is making this reference to Kyrie. But she probably is. Every statement made by front office executives will be taken as gospel as the drama unfolds. The most recent tweet from Jeanie simply stirs up more trouble.

Jeanie Buss’ latest tweet could be a message about Kyrie Irving arrival at the Lakers
“I miss KB. He would understand and explain everything that I’m not allowed to. Honestly he was the greatest Laker ever. He understood team over self. Meaning your rewards would come if you valued team goals over your own then everything would fall into place. All can reply,” Buss tweeted.

Many others questioned why she tweeted that and if it was directed at someone, who it was directed; some even wondered if she was referring to the transfer of Irving or Russell Westbrook. The remark comes at a crucial time for the Lakers, who need a boost to stay competitive and return to their storied championship status.
Maybe, just maybe, the Lakers may use the Russell Westbrook deal to get the contentious Kyrie Irving now that the Nets‘ predicament may be out of control. Although Westbrook and Irving are statistically comparable, a lot can happen over the course of an NBA season.
