Steph Curry savagely trolls Kendrick Perkins for doubting Warriors winning another NBA Championship

The Golden State Warriors beat the Boston Celtics 103-90 in Game 6 of the NBA 2022 Finals to clinch the NBA Championship on Thursday night. It was the team’s fourth title in 8 years and the first since 2018 indicating that the Warriors dynasty continued on despite many suggesting that it may have faded away. The likes of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green carried the words of doubters on their backs throughout the series but prevailed in a rather comfortable fashion when they beat the Eastern Conference champions in their own backyard to seal the NBA crown.

Curry, who remains a core part of that dynasty for the Warriors, also had some messages for some of those doubters. The 33-year-old targetted former NBA star, Kendrick Perkins, who claimed that the Warriors wouldn’t win another NBA Championship when Curry signed his new deal with the team in August 2021.

The 2008 NBA Champion held up a ‘zero’ sign with his fingers when asked how many NBA Championships he felt Curry would win after his contract extension with the Warriors. Perkins, however, was clearly wrong with his prediction.

What did Steph Curry say about Kendrick Perkins?

While speaking in an interview after winning his fourth NBA ring and his first NBA MVP award, Curry hit back at Kendrick Perkins. Although didn’t mention Perkins by his name but it was clear that he was referring to the NBA analyst when he said, “And the fact that when we started this season, the conversations about who we were as a team and what we were capable of, I clearly remember some experts and talking heads putting up the big zero of how many championships we would have going forward because of everything that we went through.”

Curry also mimicked Perkins’ gesture of holding up a ‘zero’ sign with his fingers at the press conference to troll the NBA analyst.
