“I’m Not Interested in Helping Him”- Joe Rogan Explains Why He Turned Down the Opportunity to Have Donald Trump on His Podcast Multiple Times
UFC commentator Joe Rogan is one of the most influential people in the United States of America. Rogan is the host of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ which is without a shadow of a doubt the most popular podcast in the United States. Given its status, Rogan has no trouble inviting some of the biggest names across all industries for an interview. The likes of Elon Musk, and Kanye West among other entities have been a part of the show.
In a recent podcast with Lex Fridman, Rogan revealed why he will never invite Donald Trump on his show despite having had the chance to have him on multiple times. He said, “He’s (Trump) going to run again. … well, he’s running against a dead man. You know, I mean Biden shakes hands with people that aren’t even there when he gets off stage. I think he’s seeing ghosts. You seen him on Jimmy Kimmel the other day? Well, he was just rambling. I mean, he’s, if he was anyone else. If he was a republican, if that was Donald Trump doing that, every f**king talk show, would be screaming for him to be off the air.”
When asked if he would get Trump on his show Rogan said, “I am not a Trump supporter in any way, shape or form. I’ve had the opportunity to have him on the show more than once. I’ve said no, every time. I don’t wanna help him. I’m not interested in helping him.”
Joe Rogan has been under scrutiny this year
Rogan is an extremely controversial entity when it comes to a lot of sensitive issues. Earlier this year, there was a huge call from both users and employees of Spotify to remove Rogan from their platform for spreading misinformation about the COVID-19 virus.
Spotify signed Rogan exclusively for $100 million and therefore did not take any action against the American podcaster. Now that some time has passed, the anger towards Rogan has died down and if anything, all the attention he received only made his podcast bigger and more popular.
