Urijah Faber Sends Direct Message to UFC President Dana White Over ‘Bulls**t’ Treatment of Josh Emmett at UFC 276

Speaking out at a UFC Fight Pass Invitational 2 grappling event, UFC legend Urijah Faber spoke to the media and talked about how one of the top featherweight fighters on the roster was disrespected by the UFC.

Per Faber, number four ranked featherweight Josh Emmett, was treated poorly during UFC 276 that took place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Faber said that while Emmett wasn’t a confrontational guy unless he was fighting in the octagon, he was truly taken aback by the way he was treated during the event.

Emmett was given poor seats and wasn’t anywhere near the front with the other top UFC talents who were present at the event. The front row consisted of several top UFC stars, including Francis Ngannou, Dustin Poirier, and Justin Gaethje. However, Emmett was sidelined from the action, away from his peers.

“He had a really bad experience. He was put way back in the seating, not even with the rest of the guys and had to find his way by himself upstairs because they have peons working security that are getting paid minimum wage that are like, ‘Hey, you can’t come this way.’ He’s not a confrontational guy unless you’re paying him to beat someone up. He was really upset that there wasn’t more made of the fact that he’s the guy in line. I’m going to talk to Dana (White) about it and talk to Hunter (Campbell) and let them know that it’s really bullsh*t.

“(We got) ghosted. It’s really sad and his wife was livid, he was livid and he was just like, ‘What do I have to do to get a little bit of respect?’ So Dana, I hope you see this and understand that it’s Josh’s time.” [h/t mmajunkie.com]

Emmett trains under the watchful eye of Urijah Faber and the ‘California Kid’ was truly upset by the way one of his top stars was treated.

It remains to be seen if Urijah Faber’s pointed message to Dana White was well received, as the UFC President has not yet responded to Faber’s comments.
