Cleveland Browns Depth Chart 2022: Current Roster, Offensive, Defensive, and Special Teams

90 players were on the active roster when the Cleveland Browns had their first full-squad practise in Berea last month. They’ll need to reduce the list to 53 by August 30—a little more than a month from then. The most of those 53 can actually be understood without any effort. However, there are always a few positions where it might be difficult to predict with certainty what moves General Manager Andrew Berry and coach Kevin Stefanski will make to increase the depth.

There’s also a chance that individuals who aren’t even on the roster right now will be by the end of August. Similarly, there’s a chance that names who many anticipate will be among the 53 won’t be, perhaps because they’re used to getting

It’s also possible that some names that people anticipate would be among the 53 aren’t on the list, perhaps because they were used to get another name added. Of course, there is also uncertainty surrounding the quarterback. While serving any suspension, Deshaun Watson wouldn’t count toward the 53-man cap; however, a substitution would need to be made whenever he was eligible to return.

There are 30 roster places available after finishing the offensive side of the ball, though technically only 29 due to Watson and Rosen’s either/or scenario. How many running backs really make the squad is another issue.
