Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan graces cover of NBA 2K23

One of the all-time greats in the sport will be featured on the upcoming cover of the well-known NBA 2K video game series. Michael Jordan, a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame and Chicago Bulls legend, has been chosen as NBA 2K23’s cover athlete. This is the fourth time the six-time league champion has graced the game’s cover.

Given that NBA 2K23 is the franchise’s 23rd instalment, it seems reasonable that a legendary No. 23 would appear on the game’s cover. This year’s video teaser includes genuine highlights from Jordan’s career in addition to a stunning assortment of 2K material.

The best ten Jordan career moments, plus five more ones from his time in college, with Team USA. Also, his journey in the NBA will be relived by players. Benefits: According to a press release, the Michael Jordan edition of the game will include a mode called “The Jordan Challenge”. In this challenge, players will be able to experience and relive a variety of different moments from Jordan’s basketball career. It also includes his time in college, the NBA, and the Olympics.

According to Alfie Brody, vice president of global marketing strategy for NBA 2K, “After making 23 the most recognizable number in sports. It was only fitting that for NBA 2K23 we introduce the Michael Jordan Edition.”

According to NBA 2K Vice President of Global Marketing Strategy Alfie Brody, the “Championship Edition” includes a 12-month NBA League Pass membership and the chance to watch live games all season. Pre-orders open on Thursday, July 7, although the game doesn’t release until September 9.

Beginning in 1999 with NBA2K, Allen Iverson served as the cover athlete for the first five iterations of the series. Previously, Jordan was featured on the covers of NBA 2K11, 2K12, and NBA 2K16. Luka Dončić, a standout for the Mavericks, appeared on the cover of 2K22 from the previous year.

The PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC are solid bets despite the lack of platform details. At least based on the release schedule for the prior episode. Cross your fingers for a Sega Dreamcast port.

The cover star for the Standard and Digital Deluxe versions will be another unnamed performer. Following the start of pre-orders, 2K will disclose the athlete.
