Braves Troll Mets Fans During Rain Delay By Playing Timmy Trumpet’s ‘Narco’ Song After Showing Mets’7-1 Loss Highlights

Midway through the fifth inning of Sunday’s series finale between the Miami Marlins and Atlanta Braves at Truist Park, a rain delay was declared. After Joey Wendle grounded into a double play to conclude the top of the fifth inning against Max Fried of the Braves, the rain started to pour heavily. But despite that, the game involved the Mets in some capacity.

The Braves were up 2-0 when the delay occurred. Max Fried’s excellent start, which featured five innings of hitless work, was cut short by a protracted rain delay, but it was unable to stop the Braves’ offensive surge as they dominated Miami en way to a 7-1 victory and a three-game sweep. The Braves lead in the NL East has shrunk by one paltry game as a result of the Mets’ odd loss to the Nationals.

Fans of the Atlanta Braves who remained at Truist Park after the club’s rain delay on Sunday were thrilled to learn that their division rivals, the New York Mets, suffered a 7-1 loss to the poorest team in the National League, the Washington Nationals.

Braves hilariously troll Mets and their fans by playing the ‘Narco’ song during rain delay vs Marlins

Atlanta’s Truist Park played “Narco” by Blasterjaxx and Timmy Trumpet during a rain delay against the Marlins and to the announcement that the Nationals had won a series over the Mets, who were in first place in the NL East.

The horn-infused tune serves as both Edwin Diaz’s walk-out song for the Mets and the Citi Field faithful’s anthem. Trumpet recently entertained Mets fans by playing out Diaz last Wednesday. Following their defeat, the Braves’ DJ poked fun at the Mets, which is customary for workers at Truist Park.

It might be challenging to take on a team that hasn’t recently won a championship when you’re the defending World Champions. But let’s face it, Mets supporters have become so intolerably irritating with this “Narco” song that it’s difficult to ignore them.

However, if you want to make a big deal out of it on social media, be prepared to have the favor returned when you lose two out of three games to the Washington Nationals.

This is precisely what the Braves did on Sunday during their rain delay after highlighting the Mets’ 7-1 home loss to the weakest baseball team. Atlanta moves only 1.5 games closer to the top of the NL East after the Mets’ back-to-back humiliating losses to a Nationals team that is in last place.
