Zion Williamson rolled up to local New Orleans gym and started trash-talking, dunking on children

Imagine being a young child and playing pick-up basketball with your buddies at a nearby community facility when an actual NBA star walks up. That’s what actually occurred at the Dryades YMCA earlier this week and that NBA star was Zion Williamson.

Zion Williamson, a player for the Pelicans and one of the NBA’s best finishers, “took the youngsters at Dryades to school” by challenging everyone in the gym to try and guard the 6’6″ forward. The children struggled to keep in front of Zion due to his distinctive combination of size and speed, and all they could do was put up their hands.

It’s easy to assume that Zion, who spends time with New Orleans’ kids, wants to establish genuine links with the local population. Interruptions have prevented him from experiencing life in the Big Easy since he was selected in 2019. He was injured to start his rookie season, and when he returned to the floor, COVID-19 halted all significant activities, forcing the NBA to conclude the season in a bubble format in Orlando. Most of his historic 2020–21 campaign took place at events that fans couldn’t attend because of CDC–recommended limitations. Zion got injured once again last year, and he spent most of his recovery period at Portland’s Nike facilities.

Even seminars, like the one earlier in June, have been hosted with the goal of educating kids and encouraging an end to urban violence.

Zion Williamson has just made memories for young people in New Orleans that will last a lifetime. This is particularly helpful in forging a long-term connection, which Zion may be gearing up to become formal with very soon.

Here is a video of Zion Williamson, a physical marvel by pretty much every measure, coming to a gym and putting some young people to the test in a 1-on-1 match. The young players attempt to defend the New Orleans Pelicans star, but they quickly discover the hard way that Zion is a superior basketball player than they are.

Williamson even began to thrash-talk while playing. He pointed at the young bystanders and shouted, “You, you, you. Any of y’all think y’all can do something with me?” He immediately launched a dunk as one courageous youngster said, “Me!”
