What happened to Miles Bridges? Why was the Charlotte Hornets star arrested?

Just hours before entering free agency, Miles Bridges, a point guard for the Charlotte Hornets, was detained in Los Angeles for felony domestic abuse.

Miles Bridges is well known for being a gentleman on the basketball court as well as being arguably a better rapper than the majority of wannabe artists you are familiar with. At the age of 24, he was anticipated to be just hours away from a large windfall on a new agreement, but that may not be the case right now. Miles published a video a few weeks ago that appeared to show him smoking and drinking lean, which Michael Jordan, the owner of the Hornets, would undoubtedly find offensive. STAY OFF THE WEEDS, in the words of Stephen A. Smith. Just before free agency, Miles Bridges was arrested for felony domestic violence.

The NBA player was detained on Wednesday in Los Angeles for felony domestic abuse, according to TMZ Sports. Police were summoned to the location after Bridges and the lady he was arguing with apparently got into a violent altercation. Bridges had left the area by the time police arrived, but the lady was still there and needed assistance from emergency personnel.

Bridges turned himself up to the LAPD yesterday and were freed on a $130,000 bond. A very unusual turn of events occurred hours before he received his largest NBA salary to date. It will be intriguing to observe how this affects his worth to other organizations. News of Bridges’ detention has not elicited a response from the Hornets.

Bridges, who was the Hornets’ top scorer a year ago, is about to become a restricted free agency and may want a maximum contract soon. The information is released just before NBA free agency, which starts Thursday night and allows clubs to communicate with free agents.

Playing with All-Star point guard LaMelo Ball, Bridges, 24, had what could be considered a breakout season last year, averaging a career-high 20.2 points and seven rebounds. Bridges, who played at Michigan State, is also a rapper who goes by the name RTB MB.

On Tuesday, the Hornets made Bridges a qualifying offer, which gives them the opportunity to compete with any offer sheet submitted by another team.

On Tuesday, Hornets general manager Mitch Kupchak remarked, “As a team, we love Miles.” “We’re bringing him back, I assure you. He has been fantastic for the franchise, and with his work ethic, I think he will only become better.

Bridges, a 6-foot-7, 225-pound forward for the Charlotte Hornets, stated after the season that he intended to rejoin the team. However, he recently altered his Twitter bio from “forward for the Charlotte Hornets” to “It’s me,” which raises some questions.
