The country’s administration was accused by ‘The Notorious’ of using him as a scapegoat for their incompetence earlier this month, which sparked the anti-immigrant rallies that erupted in the capital of the country following a stabbing incident involving minors.

It appears like McGregor is now taking matters into his own hands in an effort to purportedly clean up the country. ‘The Notorious’ alluded to his potential presidential campaign in a recent post on X. He penned:

“Ireland, your President. ☘️❤️

He now evaluated his rivals and his prospects of winning the president in a tweet that he sent afterward. He declared,

“Potential competition if I run. Gerry 78. Bertie. Enda, 74. 75. Each with unbreakable ties to their individual parties politics. Regardless of what the public outside of their parties feel. These parties govern themselves vs govern the people. Or me, 35. Young, active, passionate, fresh skin in the game. I listen. I support. I adapt. I have no affiliation/bias/favoritism toward any party. They would genuinely be held to account regarding the current sway of public feeling. I’d even put it all to vote. There’d be votes every week to make sure. I can fund. It would not be me in power as President, people of Ireland.

Following the stabbing deaths of five individuals in the Irish capital last month, McGregor faced backlash for his comments on the riots in Dublin. A five-year-old girl was critically hurt in the attack, which also harmed three other youngsters.

Having previously voiced his disapproval of the government’s response to the stabbing, McGregor was quick to criticize the government’s response to Jozef Puska’s sentencing. Puska, a 33-year-old Slovak, was given a life sentence for the murder of 23-year-old Irish woman Ashling Murphy.
