PHOTOS: Washington Commanders’ Confirmed New Kit For the Cowboys Game With Important Changes

The Washington Commanders need a spark before their game against the Dallas Cowboys after consecutive losses to the Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles. Perhaps donning new uniforms will ignite that flame.

When the Washington Commanders officially rebranded, they presented brand-new uniforms in February. A third “alternate” jersey was also unveiled by Washington, who will wear black jerseys for the first time in the franchise’s history.

Most Washington supporters don’t like the new moniker, although the jerseys are more well-liked. On Sunday, October 2, the Commanders will play the Dallas Cowboys while sporting their black alternative uniform.

The alternative helmet is similarly black, and the uniform consists of a black shirt and black leggings. This new colour scheme was initially introduced by the team back in February. The team’s alternate gear includes a blacked-out shirt and pair of pants in addition to a different black helmet.

The side of the black helmets used by the Commanders will have gold numerals. The previous two years, when they were known as the “Washington Football Team,” the Commanders wore numbers on the sides of their helmets. In the front of the black helmet, over the all-black facemask, is the new W logo.

The Commanders will reportedly use the Black and Bold attire in their games against the Minnesota Vikings in week 9 and the Atlanta Falcons in week 12.
