‘Nothing to be Mad About Anymore’- Jon Jones Provides an Update on His Well-Documented Rivalry with Daniel Cormier
Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones spoke out via Twitter and responded to a fan who asked him about his legendary feud with Daniel Cormier. Jones’ rivalry with Cormier is a thing of legend, and fans have placed their rivalry as a top-tier talking point in the MMA world.
Both men fought each other in the octagon on two separate occasions. However, their second contest was ruled a No Contest since Jones was busted by USADA for using PED’s. This incident added yet another layer to their rivalry, and both men have had some disparaging words for each other over the years.
Has Jon Jones moved past his beef with Daniel Cormier?
In a recent Q&A on Twitter, Jones clarified his position on Cormier and revealed that he considers ‘DC’ as just another one of his previous opponents. He said that once they went into the octagon to settle their beef, a major part of their rivalry also died under the bright lights.
While it seems like Jones has moved past his rivalry with ‘DC’ in a major way, fans shouldn’t expect the two to make up publicly anytime soon.
I know you probably won’t believe me but at the end of the day I think of DC the same way I think of all my other past opponents. Was just a past opponent. Once we get the knuckle sandwiches out of the way, there’s really nothing to be mad about anymore https://t.co/pTG7yzu6r2

Jon Jones is clearly invested in his future in the UFC as he’s in line to make his debut in the heavyweight divisions. It’s likely that Jones will lace up the gloves to face the former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic in a battle to determine who will fight for the belt next.

Despite the fact that Miocic was knocked out in his last fight, he is still considered to be the consensus MMA GOAT. If Jones is able to put forth a dominant display against Miocic, he will certainly be looked at as the number one pound-for-pound fighter on the UFC’s roster.
