New York Giants: Wide Receivers In The 2021 Training Camp
New York Giants are preparing the dynamic defense.
The New York Giants made significant changes to their defensive line this offseason. They not only changed it but also upgraded it for future games. Analysts may have concluded that Giants has the worst O-Line in the league however, the same analysts are positive about the same team’s defense. Some of them are even predicting 2021 as a year of Giants dynamic defense. As the depth chart has been drastically changed let’s look at some of the best available wide receivers with the Giants.

New York Giants Wide Receivers
Even after missing out on most of the 2020 NFL season, Kenny Golladay got a whopping $72 million deal. Many people from the NFL front office have criticized it but it seems like the New York Giants doesn’t care. For them, he is the potential player who will benefit the team in the long run. Well, probably he will benefit the team as he is one of the bests in the NFL. However, the most important concern is his health condition because a benched Golladay can do nothing for the Giants.
With an average score of 11 touchdowns and 15.2 yards per reception, Darius Slayton played two seasons with the Giants. It seems like his game is improving with time and now his major focus must be on improving his catch ratio. However, I don’t think that the defense will anymore revolve around him. The focus will be on Kenny Golladay and some other receivers but this guy has the potential and he can do better for the Giants.
Sterling Shepard is a legitimate red-zone receiving threat. Take a look at his red-zone stats in 2020:
– 9/9 (100% completion), 3 Touchdowns, 56% First down conversion.

Shepard can play good for the team but his health has been uncertain for years. In the last two seasons, he missed around 10 games because of his concussions and injuries. I do understand that he has the big arms, moves and solid hands which can be the turning point for the New York Giants but still fitness is the biggest issue overall.
If you ask me one thing about John Ross, I will definitely talk about his unmatchable speed. He is one of the NFL’s fastest players. However, his stats are not that good. Even if he is the fastest, his game is not that powerful. In his four year career, he has played only 27 NFL games catching 51 passes for 733 yards. He has never been the person his former team wanted him to be.
The New York Giants are still betting on him for the 2021 NFL season so let’s look at his training camp performance first and then we will decide about his place and estimated contribution.
Giants placed rookie WR Kadarius Toney on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) July 22, 2021
The New York Giants have been trolled again and again for their choices. One of those choices is Kadarius Toney. On one hand, where the Giants were being excited about him on the other, a lot of experts were roasting the Giants. One more thing is that Toney is best suited in an offensive role. Whereas the Giants will not be nurturing the same and it will result in the wasted draft of the 2021 NFL season.

Did you guys really go over the Giants yesterday and not mention WR1 Dante Pettis?!!!!!— Matt McHoes (@mattmchoes) July 20, 2021
Pettis is a low-risk and high reward player. Therefore, the Giants will not ask much from him. The four-year wide receiver has shown us a good game back in 2018. After that promising rookie year, his value quickly deteriorated. There was a time when everyone would have taken him but now he doesn’t look promising to anyone. I don’t think that he will make it to the list of the final 53.

Overall the New York Giants are playing a big gamble with these faces. Therefore, it’s hard to pick a side when it comes to unpredictable dynamism.
