NBA fans react as Monte Morris reunites with childhood best friend Kyle Kuzma at Washington Wizards
After trading for Denver Nuggets point guard Monte Morris, the Washington Wizards now have their starting point guard. And so, Kyle Kuzma, Morris’ boyhood pal, will now be reunited.
Morris and Kuzma are both Flint, Michigan natives. The two made a commitment to realize a shared childhood ambition of being teammates in the NBA while they were still in elementary school, as Kuzma explained.

The two attended different high schools and universities after growing up in the Flint region. Utah was Kuzma’s college team. Morris was attending Iowa State at the time. They were both selected in 2017. Kuzma was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers with the 27th overall pick. Morris was selected 51st overall by the Denver Nuggets in the second round.
