Miami Dolphins Practice Recording Scandal: Big Mike McDaniel Update on the 12 Plays That Were Leaked On Social Media

The Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Miami Dolphins by a total score of 27-15 on Thursday night to earn their second straight victory and level their record at 2-2. However, the terrifying injury to Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa cast a shadow over the contest.

The Cincinnati Bearcats’ home stadium, Nippert Stadium, hosted a Miami Dolphins practice earlier this week. Several stories claim that someone at the location ended up recording the practice session. Just a few hours later, videos of the team’s practice started appearing on social media.

Thankfully, head coach Mike McDaniel was able to use counterintelligence to tamper with the video that circulated online.

Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel plays 3D chess and practiced fake plays

Tom Pelissero, an insider for NFL Network, recently revealed that Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel was well aware that someone may have been observing practice. Pelissero stated that McDaniel attempted to hide the play by keeping 12 players on the field.

“The #Dolphins noticed people watching their walkthrough Wednesday in Cincinnati, so they made a sly adjustment: All the clips circulating on Twitter have 12 players on offense,” Pelissero noted. “Fake plays? Fake routes on real plays? Either way, Mike McDaniel and company staying one step ahead.”

To put it mildly, the new head coach of the Miami Dolphins appears to have them in excellent hands. It’s one thing to even have the foresight to keep an eye out for anyone trying to sneak into the Cincinnati Bearcats’ stadium and record practice in order to give the visiting Bengals a competitive edge.

It appears that McDaniel is a better strategist. The Dolphins appear to have defeated the spies, but the NFL is still looking into the matter.
