WATCH:- Tua Tagovailoa Is Taken to the Hospital After a Second Concussion in Five Days Leaving Him Motionless on the Field

The Miami Dolphins have had an extremely strong start to the 2022 NFL season. The team led by Tua Tagovailoa and Mike McDaniel were one of only two teams that were undefeated in the league going into game week four. Unfortunately for the Dolphins, it looks like they will lose that title along with their star quarterback following incidents that took place during their game against the Bengals.

Tagovailoa appeared to be concussed during halftime of their game against the Buffalo Bills the last weekend. He left briefly before being cleared to return to action. The league, at the request of the NFL Players Association, is reviewing the decision to allow Tagovailoa to re-enter the game last week. He was questionable to play Thursday night with back and ankle injuries, however, he did end up starting the game.

Tua Tagovailoa suffers a horrific injury

In what was one of the scariest moments in recent memory, Tagovailoa was sacked for a 10-yard loss by Josh Tupou, with 5:57 remaining in the first half. The Miami Dolphins quarterback’s head bounced of the turf and left him motionless on the field. He was placed on a stabilizing board before being loaded onto a stretcher and being transported to the nearest hospital.

Chris Nowinski was one of the many angry fans that bashed the Dolphins for their decision to start Tagovailoa. He said, “This is a disaster. Pray for Tua. Fire the medical staffs and coaches. I predicted this and I hate that I am right. Two concussions in 5 days can kill someone. This can end careers. How are we so stupid in 2022.”

Following the incident, the Miami Dolphins released a statement regarding Tagovailoa and his health. The statement said, “Tua Tagovailoa has been taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. He is conscious and has movement in all his extremities.”

At this point in time it is unclear how long Tagovailoa will be out for, but it is safe to say that he will not play their next game at the very least which will be against the New York Jets.
