Kevin Durant and ‘Clown’ Charles Barkley Engage in Another Argument Bickering at Each Other

Charles Barkley and Kevin Durant’s ongoing conflict has reached its most recent chapter, and it is pretty much what you would expect. Charles Barkley, a member of the NBA Hall of Fame and a current TNT analyst, is no stranger to upsetting NBA players. While a majority of Barkley’s media appearances are for entertainment purposes, his uncensored candor sometimes irritates teammates. This most recently occurred on Friday night when Brooklyn Nets player Kevin Durant called Barkley out in response to some criticism.

The last year or so has seen Charles Barkley and Kevin Durant argue, and it’s been amusing to see two Hall of Fame players throw jabs at one other’s illustrious histories.

Kevin Durant claps back at Charles Barkley

Kevin Durant found the time to comment on an excerpt from Barkley’s recent podcast session with Taylor Rooks that has been making the rounds on Twitter. In the excerpt, the TNT analyst describes Barkley as being “insecure.” After Brooklyn defeated the Toronto Raptors on Friday night, Durant addressed Barkley and referred to him as a clown.

“This clown does not have g14 classification to speak on the god, we’ve never had a real human interaction…carry on haaaa,” Durant wrote.

The phrase “G-14 Classification,” which Durant used, is a clear allusion to Barkley’s appearance on “Inside the NBA.” Shaquille O’Neal uses the word to distinguish between players who have and haven’t won NBA championships; he borrowed it from the movie “Rush Hour.” Of course, during his 16-year NBA career, Barkley did not capture an NBA title.

On the other hand, Durant has two victories. To Charles Barkley’s credit, he was less critical of Durant than before. Even Barkley referred to Durant as a “fantastic player.” Chuck just made it clear that if Durant is truly confident in his legacy, he should not let the criticism get to him. Durant is always active on social media and isn’t afraid to confront his detractors. This may come from experts like Barkley to regular Twitter users.
