$60 Million Worth Draymond Green, Who Punched Jordan Poole, Officially Surpasses $1 Million in Fines After ‘Obscene’ Language Towards Fans

According to Marc J. Spears of ESPN’s Andscape, Draymond Green has a history of having legal issues with the NBA. The most recent instance occurred on Thursday when he was fined $25,000 for using foul language against a supporter during the Golden State Warriors loss to the Dallas Mavericks. For prior confrontations involving officials, and opposing supporters, including the incident involving teammate Jordan Poole, Green had already received fines from the NBA and the Warriors.

After the Warriors’ loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night at the American Airlines Center, the NBA made Draymond Green’s pockets suffer a little.

Draymond Green surpasses $1 million in fines

This is not the first encounter that Draymond Green has had with a fan during a game this season. Green was filmed getting into a verbal altercation with a fan earlier this season at a Warriors game against the Charlotte Hornets.

The incident went viral and needed some stadium security involvement. Green did not utter any profanity during that event, so he was not penalized. With that penalty, Green’s career total fines have surpassed the $1 million mark.

Early in the fourth quarter of the Warriors’ 116-113 defeat to the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday at the American Airlines Center, Green engaged with the fan. This season, Green is averaging 9.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 7.1 assists.

Draymond Green has received three fines in the past six months, dating back to the Western Conference semifinal matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies, when he insulted a visiting opponent’s supporter.
