Kendrick Perkins believes Anthony Davis will be among the top NBA MVP contenders next season

The LA Lakers will be the focus of attention this year. The ability of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook to get along will be watched by fans. It will be interesting to see if the team can help the Lakers get into the playoffs.

Davis’ form could improve next season, according to Kendrick Perkins. He even went so far as to express his opinion that Davis might be a candidate for MVP. Davis will be attempting to maintain his position as one of the league’s top big men.

Perkins expressed his opinion: “Actually, I was hoping Anthony Davis would win the award. In my opinion, Anthony Davis is about to go on a mission, and this is his chance. This season, Anthony Davis is going to remind the world of who the hell he is”

If Davis can manage to stay healthy for extended periods of time, Perkins’ evaluation may very well apply to him. Whether Westbrook will be able to regain his prior form has been a topic of discussion during the offseason. The bigger worry is Davis’ capacity for continued health.

Anthony Davis only participated in 40 games last season

Many have questioned if the LA Lakers’ acquisition of Patrick Beverley will lead to success going into this season. The Lakers want to make up for their terrible season the last term when they didn’t even make the playoffs.

Even though Anthony Davis only participated in 40 games last season, that was four more than the year before. LeBron James only took part in 56 games. The majority of the burden fell on Russell Westbrook, who failed to carry it.

Only 21 games were played with Westbrook, Davis, and James as a team. Westbrook was ineffective even in those games. This was primarily brought on by his innate drive to hold the ball. Hence, James also had a similar urge, and the two were never a good match.

Westbrook was given a second chance by new coach Darvin Ham

Beverley has joined a group that already has chemistry problems. His rivalry with Westbrook on the floor only makes it more difficult. Westbrook was given a second chance by new coach Darvin Ham, who clarified the situation. Ham has pushed him to pay greater attention to his defense.

Even Beverley and Westbrook will play together in some lineups, according to the coach. There are many issues facing the LA Lakers, but it is up to the stars to live up to their reputations and put together a successful season.
