A-Rod’s ex helped Cavinder twins as they have eating disorder

The tough relationship the Cavinder twins have with food was discussed in an open and honest manner.

Haley and Hanna disclosed they had anorexia nervosa in a 29-minute video they uploaded to their YouTube account and a shorter one they shared on their Instagram feed.

As June 2 is World Eating Disorders Action Day, the two had made the decision to share the video on that day.

“Something that Hanna and I have been struggling with for years now … is our eating habits,” Haley said.

Hanna said that she began “calorie counting” and had heightened sensitivity to what she ate after the two moved from Fresno State to Miami in April 2022.

The twins observed that their problems appeared to have started when they cut back on their dietary consumption while attending Fresno State.

“If we’re going to do something we’re going to do it 100 percent,” Hanna said. “There’s no in-between, so it’s extreme. That’s just kind of how our minds work. And I feel bad because I started calorie counting — it was kind of me.

“It started getting very toxic with eating a certain amount of calories a day. But we’re burning so many calories, we’re not taking in enough.”

The twins, who were among the highest-paid college athletes, contacted Kathryne “Kat” Padgett, a fitness expert and Alex Rodriguez’s ex.

The Cavinders weren’t eating enough for both their sport and daily life, according to Padgett, who also mentioned how she aids people in becoming “their best selves”.

The twins set out to improve their connection with food at the beginning of 2023, especially after the two discussed their problems with hormonal imbalances among other things.

When Padgett entered, she made a note of the two’s “unsustainable” eating patterns, noting how they would skip meals for extended periods of time before bingeing at particular times.

The two received assistance from the fitness trainer, who focused on increasing their consumption of carbs.

The Cavinders said they felt better than they did in January at the conclusion of the video, and they were finally honest enough with themselves to publish the footage with their sizable social media following.

“We want to help people,” Haley said. “Genuinely want to help people, so feel free to reach out, don’t be afraid to talk to someone.”

When Miami advanced to its first Elite Eight in program history with the aid of the senior guards, the Cavinder twins attracted attention during March Madness.

The two left Miami at the end of May, but they have continued to build their brand through partnerships with different businesses.
