Former NBA star Dennis Rodman was born on May 13, 1961, and has the moniker “the Worm” due to his reputation for defense and rebounding abilities. He played for several teams over the past 20 years, including the Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, and Dallas Mavericks

Additionally, Rodman has seven times been named to the NBA’s First Team Defense. In addition, he won five NBA titles and held the record for the most rebounds in a game for seven straight years. 2011 saw his enshrinement in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

When did Dennis Rodman win his NBA Championship rings?

In 1989, 1990, 1996, 1997, and 1998, Rodman got his championship rings. For the first two rings, he played for the Detroit Pistons, and for the next three, he played for the Chicago Bulls.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Detroit Pistons in 1983: The game between the Detroit Pistons and Los Angeles Lakers marked the first NBA championship won by a club other than the Lakers or the Boston Celtics since that year. Dennis Rodman grabbed 19 rebounds in Game 3 despite having excruciating back spasms.

Detroit Pistons vs. Portland Trail Blazers, 1990: Despite missing Rick Mahorn, the Pistons were still able to dominate the Eastern Conference with a 59-23 record. In Mahorn’s absence, NBA Defensive Player of the Year Dennis Rodman took up the slack and made sure the Pistons played to their full potential throughout the whole season.

Dennis Rodman was the most important addition to the Chicago Bulls roster in the 1996 matchup against the Seattle Supersonics. Rodman’s outstanding effort, in which he equaled his own NBA Finals record with 19 rebounds in Game 2, helped the Bulls win the series 4-2, in part.

Rodman continued his stellar play from the previous season when the Chicago Bulls faced the Utah Jazz in 1997. He grabbed 11 rebounds, and the Bulls won the championship 4-2.

In the 1998 matchup between the Chicago Bulls and the Utah Jazz, the Bulls extended their winning streak by prevailing 4-2 in the series. In the 4th and 6th games, respectively, Rodman pulled down 14 and 8.

He has played for several teams throughout the course of his 20-year career, including the Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, and Dallas Mavericks. Dennis Rodman played with the Detroit Pistons from 1986 until 1993. For the 1993–1995 season, he then transferred to the San Antonio Spurs. Rodman was a member of the Chicago Bulls from 1995 to 1998. All of his contracts after this time were only valid for a year.
