Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox (hip) was a limited participant during Thursday's practice. This shouldn't come as a surprise considering Knox was questionable last week as well with the same injury. However, he did suit up for that matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals. The 26-year-old had a three-touchdown streak heading into last week's game against the Bengals that was suspended. He appears to be a playable TE1 for the upcoming matchup against the New England Patriots.

Knox hasn't had a boom fantasy performance yet, but it could come in this game that's expected to be a shootout. Fantasy points against statistics should be thrown by the wayside in this game as both elite quarterbacks should be able to score points. Knox's upside is huge this week and he should be started over all no-brainer starting fantasy tight ends.

If he's able to return for a Week 6 matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs, Knox would be on the TE2 streaming radar in what is expected to be a high-scoring affair. The 25-year-old has been a disappointment for fantasy managers after his breakout 2021 season, as he's caught 12 of 17 targets for 111 yards and no touchdowns through four games this year. With Knox sidelined last week, Quintin Morris stepped up with three catches on five targets for 39 yards against Pittsburgh.

Barring a setback on Saturday, Knox has a pretty good shot of being active for Sunday's game. After a career year in his third NFL season in 2021, Knox has gotten off to an underwhelming start for fantasy managers through three games this year. He has nine catches on 11 targets for 71 yards and has yet to find the end zone. Sunday's game against Baltimore could turn into a shootout, though, so perhaps Knox will have his best game of the early season. The deal includes $31 million guaranteed and makes him one of the highest-paid tight ends in the league. Knox set career-highs in 2021 with 49 catches for 587 yards and nine touchdowns in the regular season, and he was Buffalo's second-most targeted player in the red zone (18 times), behind only No. 1 wideout Stefon Diggs. In three years with the Bills, the former third-rounder has caught 101 passes for 1,263 yards and 14 touchdowns. Knox will remain a key part of Buffalo's high-octane passing offense in 2022 and should be considered a weekly TE1 for fantasy purposes.
