Tyler Boyd Questionable To Return In Week 16

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd (finger) is questionable to return to Sunday's meeting against the Patriots. The wideout had dislocated a right finger a few weeks ago versus the Browns, so now he's dealing with an injury on his other hand, which obviously isn't ideal. With Tee Higgins, Trenton Irwin, and Ja'Marr Chase having no problems cutting through the Pats defense, Zac Taylor may play it safe by keeping Boyd out for the remainder of this one.

Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd Suiting Up Sunday

Cincinnati Bengals wide receivers Tee Higgins (hamstring) and Tyler Boyd (finger) are active for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both players had been listed as questionable. Higgins has been an impressive threat this season, catching 60 passes for 861 yards and five touchdowns while ranking as the WR18 in PPR formats. Meanwhile, Boyd's production has been largely dependent on his role. He has 45 catches, 655 yards, and four touchdowns in 2022, but his fantasy appeal declines when both Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase are healthy.

Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd Questionable To Face Buccaneers

Cincinnati Bengals wide receivers Tee Higgins (hamstring) and Tyler Boyd (finger) are officially questionable to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 15. Both practiced in full on Friday, but we've seen Higgins be "active" on game day and play just a few snaps on two occasions this season. That said, this is a tricky situation to navigate for fantasy managers if both or either of them is active. If both are ruled out, Trent Taylor, Trenton Irwin, and Mitchell Wilcox could see more targets, but there's a chance those vacated targets go to Joe Mixon and/or Samaje Perine. Ja'Marr Chase is a must-start regardless, but he could be in for a monster target share in the absence of Higgins and Boyd.

Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd Limited Again Thursday

Cincinnati Bengals wide receivers Tee Higgins (hamstring) and Tyler Boyd (finger) were both listed as limited in practice for the second straight day this week on Thursday. Higgins aggravated a hamstring injury during pre-game warmups in Week 14 and ended up playing just one offensive snap, while Boyd dislocated his finger early in the contest and also never returned. Despite the injuries, it appears both players have a shot to suit up in Week 15 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but fantasy managers might have to make some tough decisions with Cincy's game not coming until later on Sunday afternoon. If one of Higgins and/or Boyd don't play, Trenton Irwin would once again be afforded a bigger role in the passing attack. Higgins is a must-start when he's active.

Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd At Practice Wednesday

Cincinnati Bengals wide receivers Tee Higgins (hamstring) and Tyler Boyd (finger) were both seen at Wednesday's practice, which is a promising sign given their respective injuries. Higgins was labeled day-to-day on Monday after playing just one snap in the Week 14 win over the Cleveland Browns due to a right hamstring issue that he aggravated in pre-game warmups. Boyd dislocated a finger in the same game and is also considered day-to-day. There's a good chance that both wideouts were limited on Wednesday, but it gives them both a shot to play in Week 15 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If one or both players cannot play this weekend, Trenton Irwin would have some flex appeal in deeper leagues. He caught both of his targets for 58 yards and his second touchdown of the season with Higgins and Boyd out of the lineup.

Tyler Boyd Could Miss A Week Or Two

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd (finger) is set to miss time after suffering an injury during Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns. The 28-year-old suffered a dislocated finger in his right hand, which could forced him to miss a week or two of action. It sounds like it'll depend on the healing and pain tolerance, so his return date is to be determined. Fellow wideout Tee Higgins (hamstring) is dealing with an injury already, but would see increased value if he can suit up next week. Ja'Mar Chase and Joe Mixon are likely to benefit the most, assuming Boyd and Higgins miss time. Also, Trent Taylor, Trenton Irwin, and Mitchell Wilcox could benefit, but probably wouldn't have streaming value.

    Tyler Boyd "Week-To-Week"

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd (finger) is considered "week-to-week" after dislocating a finger on his right hand during the victory over Cleveland on Sunday. Tee Higgins (hamstring), who was questionable heading into Week 14, had intended to suit up. But, he re-aggravated the ailment in pregame warmups, so he wasn't out there. Depending on how things play out with Higgins, Boyd may assume the role as the No. 2 wideout behind Ja'Marr Chase at some point. Yet, if Higgins and Boyd miss extended time, Trent Taylor, Trenton Irwin, and Mitchell Wilcox, combining for just four catches for 102 yards versus the Browns, should see extra attention from Joe Burrow. However, Chase and Joe Mixon would likely receive the biggest uptick in targets from the signal-caller in Week 15 against Tampa Bay. Hayden Hurst (calf), who was absent in Week 14, could also benefit, assuming he's back by then.

    Tyler Boyd Downgraded To Out

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd (right finger) has been ruled out for the remainder of Week 14 against the Cleveland Browns. The 28-year-old failed to haul in his lone target before exiting. Tee Higgins (hamstring) also left the game, meaning Trenton Irwin has stepped up to the No. 2 role, at least temporarily.

Tyler Boyd Questionable To Return Sunday

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd (finger) suffered an apparent finger injury during Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns and was taken to the locker room for testing. He is officially questionable to return. The 28-year-old, who failed to haul in his lone target before exiting, appeared to injure his right hand. Until Boyd can return, Trenton Irwin will take over as Cincinnati's No. 3 wide receiver.
