Who Made An Irresistible Offer To Free Agent Derrick Henry For Joining Ravens?

While most NFL observers consider running back Derrick Henry to be among the top free agents, former quarterback and ESPN analyst Robert Griffin III thinks Henry should focus on one team.

Who Made An Irresistible Offer To Free Agent Derrick Henry For Joining Ravens?

“Derrick Henry plays with physicality, is relentless in his preparation and has a clear passion for getting over the hump to play for a championship,” Griffin III wrote on Platform X. “He can only go in one direction. Derrick Henry already plays like a Baltimore Raven, therefore he ought to be one.”

Teams will be vying for Henry’s services in the off-season, and the Ravens may be among them. With the approaching arrival of free agency, the city of  Baltimore is lobbying for Henry to sign with the Ravens.

With at least 1,000 running yards and 12 rushing touchdowns in five of the previous six seasons, Henry is the epitome of consistency. Even in his lone “down year,” he managed to carry for 10 touchdowns and 937 yards in only eight games.

Being thirty years old, the two-time leader in running yards and rushing touchdowns is likely one of the key reasons the Titans will allow him to leave in free agency in less than a month. Baltimore, though, ought to think differently.

Lamar Jackson, the quarterback, led the club in rushes (821), and both Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins, the running backs, are expected to be free agents.

After reading Henry’s article, Jimmy’s Famous Seafood commented, offering him a lifetime supply of free crabcakes if he joined with the Ravens.

“Wholeheartedly agree with on this match made in Smashmouth Heaven. In fact, we’ll offer free crabcakes for life if he signs with The @Ravens ! #CrabcakesAndFootball.”

Jimmy’s Famous Seafood’s last two players to get free crabcakes for life were wide outs Michael Crabtree and Jeremy Maclin. The restaurant extended the same offer to the two free agents at the time, and they signed with Baltimore to get the exclusive terms.

Is Derrick Henry a free agent?

Derrick, who is now a free agent following eight seasons with the Tennessee Titans, is one player the Ravens are reportedly considering.

How many Pro Bowls does Derrick Henry have?

Derrick of the Titans has been named to his fourth career Pro Bowl. Following a vote by players, the NFL declared Henry as the team’s lone representative for the 2024 Pro Bowl Games on Wednesday night.
