Why Taulia Left Alabama To Join Maryland
Tua Tagovailoa departed Bama, so I thought it was time for me to strike out on my own and establish myself elsewhere, according to Taulia Tagovailoa. “My main concern for my family was that coach Locksley would be the person my parents would trust to send me off to wherever I was going. Coach always advises me just to be a leader and not to be anyone else. That, I believe, is really important to me. It feels like family here
Taulia Tagovailoa threw for 314 yards and a touchdown to climb to third on Maryland's all-time passing list and lead a 27-13 victory over Michigan State that pushed the Terps to a 4-1 start for the second straight season. https://t.co/spqxRNSXhg

I believe it has been going well, he remarked. Even though there is a lot of work to be done, I’m happy to be where I am and take advantage of every chance that comes my way.

He witnessed his older brother Tua Tagovailoa carried off the field on a stretcher on Thursday night after suffering a terrifying head injury while playing for the Miami Dolphins against the Cincinnati Bengals. The star quarterback was able to play just four days after suffering a head injury in the previous game because to the NFL’s concussion rules, which immediately came under fire following the unforgettable event in front of a large national audience.
A straightforward FaceTime call between the siblings altered everything as Maryland football coach Mike Locksley thought about the effect the horrifying event had on his developing quarterback.

In the Terps’ 27-13 victory over Michigan State on Saturday at SECU Stadium, Taulia’s quick talk with his brother gave him the motivation he needed to throw for 314 yards and a touchdown and move into third place on Maryland’s all-time passing chart.
