Goran Dragic is a Slovenian professional basketball player who now plays for the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets. Before joining the NBA in 2008, he played professional basketball in Slovenia and Spain, earning the nickname “the Dragon.” He has previously represented the Phoenix Suns, Miami Heat, Houston Rockets, and Toronto Raptors in the NBA.

With Phoenix Suns in 2014, Goran was an All-NBA Third Team pick and the NBA Most Improved Player. With Miami, he was selected as an NBA All-Star for the first time in 2018.

Dragic’s younger brother, Zoran, was a former teammate of Dragic’s for the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat, and now plays for Cedevita Olimpija in Ljubljana, Slovenia. On January 2, 2015, he and Zoran, along with teammates Markieff and Marcus Morris, all briefly played together for the Suns during their 112–96 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. It was the first time in NBA history when two brothers from different families played for the same team at the same time.

Goran Dragic and his wife are the proud parents of two lovely children. Mateo, their first kid, was born in November 2013, shortly after they married, and Viktoria, their second child, was born in 2015.

The Slovenian agreed to a one-year, $728,742 deal with the Brooklyn Nets, with $728,742 guaranteed and a $728,742 average yearly salary. Dragic’s basic salary in 2021-22 will be $728,742, with a cap hit of $460,463 and a dead cap value of $460,463.
