Goran and Maja had been dating for a long time before marrying in a traditional Slovenian wedding in 2013. Their close relatives and friends were present during their wedding ceremony. The pair wore crowns on the important day, which was a distinctive feature of their wedding.

Goran Dragic Parents & Family
Goran was born to Marinko Dragic, a Serbian father, and Mojca Dragic, a Slovenian mother. He spent much of his childhood in Slovenia, where he began playing basketball at a young age and made his professional debut at the age of 17 with KD Ilirija.

Dragic’s younger brother, Zoran, was a former teammate of Dragic’s for the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat, and now plays for Cedevita Olimpija in Ljubljana, Slovenia. On January 2, 2015, he and Zoran, along with teammates Markieff and Marcus Morris, all briefly played together for the Suns during their 112–96 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. It was the first time in NBA history when two brothers from different families played for the same team at the same time.
