The Washington Redskins picked Ioannidis 152nd overall in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He was released by the Redskins on September 3, 2016, but a day later, re-signed with their practice squad. When Kedric Golston was placed on injured reserve, he was elevated to the active roster.
