Who are the highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL? Posted on July 25, 2022 by Henrique Bulio With every new quarterback contract extension, the numbers go up. The salary cap keeps rising and star quarterbacks want to leapfrog any previous deal in order to say that they’re the best-paid quarterbacks in the league, with records coming over and over. Kyler Murray is the newest member of the group, signing a five-year, $231M contract extension with the Arizona Cardinals with just $1M more than Deshaun Watson’s deal with the Cleveland Browns back in March. Murray is now the second-best paid quarterback in the league with an average of $46,1M per season, losing only to Aaron Rodgers, who’s coming from back-to-back MVP seasons and signed a new deal to remain with the Green Bay Packers in March. While every quarterback wants to get the bag, they should always remember that the salary cap is still there. More money for quarterbacks, less money for the rest of the team. (@sammwichh) July 24, 2022 Many quarterbacks changed teams this offseason and lots of new deals were signed, but the number one on the list is still the best player in the league over the previous two years. Aaron Rodgers signed a new contract with the Green Bay Packers during the offseason to finally put an end to rumors that he wanted to leave the franchise because of the way he was treated since Brian Gutekunst took over. He’s the only player in the history of the league to average earnings of more than 50 million per season, as he slots in with $50,3M. The next two players were already mentioned, with Kyler Murray getting $46,1M per season, which is just above Deshaun Watson with $46M. Completing the top five, Patrick Mahomes remains on the NFL’s biggest deal ever with and $45M-per-year average, as Josh Allen finishes the list with $43M per year. As soon as these guys sign their contract extensions, they’ll be members of the list, as they’ll easily break the $45M barrier. More NFL News: Who is the Girlfriend of Elijah Moore?
