What Did Goldberg Say When Asked About Return To WrestleMania? New Update!

After making a lasting impression during his historic tenure in Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Goldberg became well-known as one of the most powerful and terrifying characters in professional wrestling history. With his 173-0 winning run, Goldberg’s achievements during the 1990s brought him significant recognition and prosperity.

What Did Goldberg Say When Asked About Return To WrestleMania? New Update!

Goldberg lost his match against Roman Reigns at the WWE Elimination Chamber PLE in 2022, the year he last wrestled. Recently, the WWE Hall of Famer discussed his possible comeback to wrestling in an interview with the Drinkin’ Bros. podcast.

Goldberg spoke on Drinkin’ Bros Studios’ podcast to discuss his recent progress. When asked if he planned to go back to professional wrestling, the former WWE star stated that he had not retired since he had not passed away and that was the state of affairs in the sport.

It seems, though, that despite being asked a few times, he found it difficult to stray from his family’s activities.

“When you’re a professional wrestler by trade, you never retire until you’re dead. I’ve been asked a couple of times but it’s hard to break me away from… I’ve been hanging on the sidelines for four years with my son. My wife and I moved here for the sole reason of watching my son grow up in unbelievable surroundings, and it’s been fabulous.”

It is unclear when the former world champion would go back into the ring—whether it be with WWE or another promotion—despite the fact that he is now free agent following the expiration of his previous WWE contract.

What WrestleMania was Goldberg in?

In their first match, Goldberg prevailed over Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XX in 2004. Following the event, both departed the organization, but Lesnar came back in 2012. When Goldberg made a comeback in 2016 after a 12-year absence, he started a feud with Lesnar right away.

What happened to Goldberg at WrestleMania?

In addition to losing the title to Lesnar at WrestleMania, Goldberg suffered his first career clean singles defeat. While saying goodbye to the fans the next night on Raw Talk (which aired on the WWE Network following the Raw broadcast), Goldberg did not completely rule out making a comeback in the future.

Why did Goldberg leave WWE after WrestleMania 20?

His one-year contract came to an end at WrestleMania 20, and it was the worst of all. In a shoot interview following his departure from WWE, Goldberg expressed his dissatisfaction with the corporation. He didn’t enjoy the programming and didn’t like the edgy material that WWE released.
