What Aaron Rodgers Says On Pat McAfee Show Is Least Of Coach Robert Saleh’s Concern

During his weekly Monday visit on Michael Kay’s show, New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh gave quarterback Aaron Rodgers the Gang Green light for any upcoming appearances on The Pat McAfee Show. Hours before, during a postseason news conference for the Jets, Aaron Rodgers had said the team needed to “flush the bullsh*t” in 2024.

The Jets coach stated on Monday that he didn’t take issue with the contentious remarks made by his quarterback on “The Pat McAfee Show” during the season.

Additionally, Saleh said he wouldn’t mind if Rodgers returned to the program in 2024.

It’s uncertain if Aaron Rodgers will return this autumn, according to an article published by The Post’s Andrew Marchand on Wednesday. Rodgers’ weekly presence ended abruptly.

“Anything in this building that we’re doing individually or collectively that has nothing to do with real winning needs to be assessed,” Rodgers told reporters Monday. “If you want to be a winning organization and put yourself in position to win championships and be competitive, everything that you do matters. And the bullsh*t that has nothing to do with winning needs to get out of the building. So that’ll be the focus moving forward. That’s the focus of these [exit interviews].”

“I promise you. I don’t think anyone really cares about — inside these walls, his teammates — no one cares about the McAfee Show,” Saleh said during “The Michael Kay Show” on Monday. “I think that’s more just noise for the outside world. But just the things in here, and the things that we need to do better as an organization, as players, as coaches, all of us, in terms of stop sweating the small stuff, and let’s worry about winning football games.

“Pat McAfee’s show is entertainment. It’s what he does. He makes good money off it. Good for him. And they’ve put together a good product. But at the same time, I promise you nobody really cares about what’s said on ‘The Pat McAfee Show.’”

Rodgers declared on Monday, “The bulls–t that has nothing to do with winning needs to get out of the building.” “That will be the focus moving forward.”

Saleh batted dismissed the idea that the team’s Florham Park facility is compromised by those strange remarks.

“It makes for entertaining conversation, but it’s not like ‘Oh, my God,’” Saleh said. “There’s nothing dramatic. You guys should sit down and talk to him about holistic foods and all that. It’s a fascinating conversation, to be honest with you. There’s nothing negative about it. It’s just how you approach it, and I don’t think anybody in the locker room takes any of that with negativity.”
