‘We All Have Expiration Date’- UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier Proclaims Alexander ‘Gustafsson is Done’ After Fourth Straight Stoppage Loss

Alexander Gustafsson’s former foe Daniel Cormier took to social media after UFC London’s main card bout between ‘The Mauler’ and Nikita Krylov. Gustafsson suffered a disappointing knockout loss to Krylov, and he’s now on a potentially career-ending losing streak.

According to ‘DC’, the time is now right for Alexander Gustafsson to walk away, as his chin is no longer holding up. Gustafsson was known to have monstrous durability, and he’s faced heavy hitters like Jon Jones, Daniel Cormier, and Jan Blachowicz.

While he hasn’t always come out on top, Alexander Gustafsson has almost always put forth a good showing of his skills. However, he’s now on a four-fight losing skid and he’s been finished in all of his recent losses.

Daniel Cormier urges Alexander Gustafsson to walk away

Cormier truly didn’t mince words when talking about Gustafsson’s performance and he suggested that ‘The Mauler’ should walk away after this most recent loss. He also lauded Gustafsson as ‘one of the best’ to have never won a UFC title during his long tenure in the company.

“Gustafson is done. He needs to walk away, these shots are hard but he used to eat those. The chin is gone, walk away my friend. We all have expiration date. One of the best to not have had a title.”

Gustafsson has proven himself as an elite talent, however, the 35-year-old may have no reached the end of the road. Apart from his chin not holding up like it once did, he also appears to be a lot slower than before.

In his prime, Gustafsson took the fight to the very best in the light heavyweight division, and his 2015 fight against Daniel Cormier serves as a good example of the same. Not to mention, his 2013 title fight against Jon Jones is hailed as perhaps the best light heavyweight fight off all time. This bout was recently inducted into the Fight Wing of the UFC’s Hall of Fame.
