With the win, the Commanders have a record of 7-1 after eight game weeks. Their only loss so far this season has been at the hands of the seemingly unstoppable Philadelphia Eagles. Cousins orchestrated a brilliant come-from-behind win for his team against the Commanders. Cousins went 22-for-40 passing with 265 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception.

Cousins often gets criticized for not securing the win in tough games for his teams. However, against the Commanders, he proved that he has what it takes to do just that. Cousins played against an aggressive rushing team and was battered multiple times. Thankfully that did not deter him and he was able to secure the win with a few seconds to spare on the clock.

The Vikings’ defense also played a huge role in the win. Danielle Hunter and Zadarius Smith are slowly developing as a force to be reckoned with. Against the Commanders, Hunter had 4 solo tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and 2 QB hits. Zadarius Smith finished with 4 solo tackles, 2 QB hits, 2 passes defended.
