Washington Commanders Depth Chart 2022: Current Roster, Offensive, Defensive, and Special Teams

The Washington Commanders’ 2022 campaign will be their 91st in the National Football League and third under head coach Ron Rivera. After briefly playing as the Washington Football Team for the past two seasons after the retirement of the Redskins branding in 2020, the team is now in its debut season under the Commander’s branding, with new logos and jerseys.

Washington made a number of roster adjustments. With 90 players on the roster as of right now, according to our count, one roster space is open. Due to the roster exception the club receives for David Bada, who joined the team through the International Player Pathway program, Washington is now able to carry 91 players.

Ron Rivera typically likes to fill every open spot, but with the first roster reduction set for Tuesday, August 16th, when the roster must be reduced by 5 players, the coaches may opt to simply field the current team for this Saturday’s opening preseason game and reevaluate the roster situation next week.
