‘Want to Throw Her Back to It to Injure Her Again and Have Another Surgery’- Valentina Shevchenko Has a Cheeky Take on a Possible Rematch Against Taila Santos
UFC flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko spoke out exclusively via Middleeasy and shared her thoughts on a possible rematch against Taila Santos. ‘The Bullet’ wasn’t on board with running it back with Santos as she believes the potential rematch will end with her [Santos] being injured.
Santos put on a gritty showing against Shevchenko, and a large majority of the fanbase opined that she had done enough to be victorious. Valentina Shevchenko openly pushed back against this notion as she was confident that her performance was deserving of the win comprehensively.

Valentina Shevchenko slams the idea of Taila Santos rematch
Shevchenko was coy when talking about a rematch and she insinuated that Santos would be at the receiving end of a beatdown if there were to fight again. She blamed the fans for wanting to see Santos heading back to surgery as she insinuated a long night for the Brazilian.

“People sometimes can be so cruel. They have no worries that a girl just had a broken orbital, and had surgery. She will take time to recover, and they want to throw her back to it to injure her again and have another surgery. You never know if it’ll be the same career or whatever. They just want to have fun and see a good fight.”
“No, I think let her heal up because health is number one. Make her feel confident that she can receive the hit without being afraid. I think she has to feel good first, 100 percent back.”

“Not like being afraid of a strike, it’s completely not what a fighter should feel. Then, yes, it’s going to be rematch or whatever UFC will want but not now as I mentioned health is number one.”
The MMA community is excited to see how Valentina Shevchenko will look in her next fight after being pushed by Santos. Fans had become accustomed to seeing ‘The Bullet’ absolutely dominate her opponents and the prospect that she might face defeat in the future is extremely enticing to the MMA world.
